WOYWW 109

I’m late …I’m late … for a very important date …..

and this is why.

I finally gave in and bought a machine to die-cut and emboss with ….I have been toying with the idea for over a year now …trying to justify it all … as us crafters know …nothing just stops with the machine and there are so many on the market too. I read up on them and nearly gave in, on a whim, when Vagabond was launched but I held off, as I was not sure that it was worth the extra … even though it was motor driven, looked amazing and had the TH seal of approval.

I finally gave in on Sunday to a Big Shot and ordered it …best price… best value for money … best reviews …AND …all but one item was reduced. The six TH sets of folders retail at about £48 ... a snip at £19.99.....oh I love sale time.

I can see the card making potentials …and that I can apply it to scrapping too. Needless to say DD and DIL loved the idea as this means they can borrow it.

I feel all my crafting needs are filled now …all I need is Mojo and maybe the odd new papers now and then …and Nestabilities put on my Xmas list along with embossing bits and special die cuts .Please do not burst my bubble and tell me I’m living in cloud cuckoo land …I’d like to believe it for a while ….and so would my bank balance.

I've watched a few demo's so I'm off to see how it all works ...will be back to visit your desks later.

Take Care xx

I hope you enjoy your new toy, I have a cuttlebug for ages and I like it but I know big shot is a more powerful machine and it suits TH dies better! You never know - this machine might give you a whole new mojo!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

Oooh, Angie, lots of lovely folders and dies to play with - I'm absolutely certain you are not going to regret buying that machine - your bank account may suffer but, so what! You'll love it like I love my Cuttlebug :) I don't think I have to wish you a happy week - you're going to have one anyway. Elizabeth x #72

Hi Angie - quick response to your query and confession time - I used white SR flour as I didn't have the brown in my cupboard and it still tastes good. Elizabeth x

You will enjoy your die cutting and lots of people love the Big Shot.
The paste is one from Dreamweavers who also do some of the brass stencils. I know they sell it at The Craft Barn as they had it on their blog last week. Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #4

I can understand your excitement! I love the TH birdcage die, but I don't have the machine that would work with it... I'm still a sizzix 1st generation gal. Oh well... Perhaps I should start making my own cages and birds.

oh forgot tosay, I don't kow if those people will want to pay that much, it's all very awkward! I mean, why should they expect one for half the price? I really thought at one time they were going to keep it and not give it to the aution at all, until I said, I'd bill them for it! if it didn't go into the auction.I think I might just forget all about it....I'm so Um 'busy'....and well...the loo needs painting and.... have a great day!

Thanks for the nice comment on the foxgloves. I am sure if you have the patience for your cards you could easily make these, they are not difficult, just fiddly. Why not have a go they would look lovely on cards.

Welcome to the world of the Big Shot! I have to say, I think you did the right thing not investing in a Vagabond, I know of three ladies on the WOYWW circuit who have had problems with it, including Hels! I love my Big Shot and wouldn't change it for the world now.
