Again … Not a proper WOYWW …. But I’m here and Yes it is really wk110

Now …What is on MY desk today??? …ME …stretched out over it. …almost asleep.

I thought you would forgive me as I have done two crafty posts this week…and …I am exhausted after we …plus a 5years old friend of the boys … all went out for the day to Dalmeny. First there was a bus … and then a train …and a picnic … and then a short walk using directions … that lead us to where we were to get on a boat for a trip along the Firth of Forth. I have to say that we took a taxi back to the station …and this is why …

Looking down …and halfway down

And then looking up … after actually getting down there with a 4year old gripping your hand and walking slightly out of step with you.

Each step seemed to be a different depth …and muddy …and I learnt later, that there were apparently 150 of them. My knees were quite wobbly after making their way DOWN, during the short walk (!!!) and I was certain that neither they nor my general state of unfitness would allow me to make the return journey in the UPWARD direction .lol.

Mind you I would have loved to return to the first half of the walk …where I found some WHITE RASPBERRIES growing wild…. yep white... and I’ll show you a photo to prove it, when I return during the week to bore you all with a picture heavy account of the day out…and a touch of the history of the area, thrown in for good measure…. like salt in a stew I always feel.

Take care xx

I want to comment on your Art Journal. What a uniquely cool cover! I am so impressed!

That return trip uphill is always the worst! OMG, 150 steps! I think the taxi was a great idea. You probably would have ended up having to carry the little one.
Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures and learn about the history.

Have a good rest on the design table!

No wonder you gave those steps a miss! I don't think I'd have gone down them either. What was that about a rest? You need another after that.

Hi Angie, all those steps - 150 - I struggle with the 13 here, there's no way my knees would have made it! You deserved that taxi :) Looking forward to seeing all the photos and reading the history of the place. The birdsong tag is really beautiful too. Hope you have a more restful week ahead. Looks like a great place for a hike but perhaps not with small boys and dodgy knees! A Grand Day Out, as Wallace would say!

This is probably the BEST desk I've seen this week. Had a great laugh, too. I would rather walk UP than down. Better for the knees, I think. Hope you had a great WOYWW and you had a chance to check out my tutorial I forgot to name.

WOW sounds like you had a fun day even with the 150 steps down. I doubt that I would have made it down them without a topple since balance is one of my issues right now. I will come back and look at the pictures next week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie

Mm, white raspberries sound like a contradiction doesn't it..and loads of steps! I have lot like them upwards when I get off the ferry in Brisbane although they are mostly even they are very hard going and take a stop half way through..
I always think down is worse than up, mainly cos my knees dont like the downward motion.. thanks for sharing and Happy WOYWW dont blame you fo lying on your desk instead of photographing it!! Shaz in oz.x
