Friday smiles.... with our pet Pygmy Hedgehog.

Every few days we set up Holly's play pen so that she can interact with humans and felines alike. Many of the cats still give her a wide birth ….some are curious from a distance .... and some just want to play. …until they are spiked lol but then there are few who just want to be her friend.

Ellie loves her as does Rusty….and I think she loves them too …she also loves her toy Giraffe which she nudges around the pen.

Holly made a bid for freedom .... over the wire .... yesterday …sadly no one had their camera at the ready …I think  we all had our mouths open in amazement  … she wobbled as she balanced  her tummy on the top of the wire and see-sawed back and forth ... but she finally  fell back into the pen ….phew ….wouldn’t want to chase her round the house …note to self ….Do not put the heat pad next the fence … she uses it as a ‘step up’ ….  clever little hedgy!!!

Pop over to 'A Stitch in Time' to see more smiles

Take Care ..xx

PS ... This is not something to smile about .....
May have to put back the annoying verification …had 6  ’Anonymous’ suspect comments yesterday.

How cute!
love it that the cats can interact with Holly and she can defend herself. Can't believe that she almost got over the fence. Must be smart little critters!

It's amazing that the cats don't treat it like some sort of toy, especially if it rolls up into a ball!! Seriously cute though! Happy belated birthday too, and many more to come.

Thanks for the comment on Princess Angie.
Only a fellow cat love would understand the feeling you get, sheer terror.
She hasn't been outside the door today so hopefully she will stay in now.
I don't like to think that they can't go out, all of my cats throught the years have been able to get outside but that's not to say I don't always say a silent prayer that they will come back safely.

Can't believe how great the cat (predator) and hedgehog (meal) get along. Just shows it can be done.
Sadly I had to no longer allow anonymous comments. Considering my sister was one of those who used that form, but I was getting way too much spam.

Holly is adorable. I'm not surprised the cats like her and vice versa. My grandson has his Guinia pig "Butterfinger" upstairs and brings him down occasionally for the cats to sniff. They are very 'curious'... but then Butterfinger is almost as big as them.

Hi Angie - nice to meet you. I am intrigued with the hedgehog although a feline fancier, myself. It's funny how they seem to get along so well. Cute blog. I'll be back. Deb (Ontario, Canada)

Hi Angie, I just love your tiny hedgehog, and I'm really impressed that the kitties lover her too - I think Bonnie would simply treat her with disdain :)

Thanks for your kind comments today. Regarding working from a sketch - like you, I avoided trying out sketches thinking they would make scrapping more difficult. However, I've found they help rather than hinder the process so I'll be using many more in future. I find most of the ones I use for free on www.shimmelle.com. Shimmelle also does a series called starting points (I think) and they do what they claim - provide a starter which works a treat :) You never know, sketches, might be the jog your mojo needs :) Elizabeth xx

SO cute! Aw - I love the picture snuggled up to kitty.

Anonymous comments - I don't know what's going on. I've been inundated recently. Blogger catches most of them and puts them in spam but a couple have slipped through. Do they really think we are idiot enough to click their links?

Secondly - thank you so much for your lovely words Angie. I know I'm a daftie :)

Thank you for your visit, Angie. I am so far behind with comments this week, so don't worry about being late. I love your pictures and your commentary about your little hedgepig. We have see very little of any in our garden in the last couple of years. It might have something to do with our new fence to contain an escapee spaniel.
I don't use the word verification, but I do set the comments to Registered User and Comment Moderation to always. I have had no Anonymous problem, just an occasional comment that I do not think is appropriate. I cannot see how the Word Verification would stop the anonymous lot - after all, I would assume they can read and write too. Hope you have a good week, and lots more smiles with your lodger. xx Maggie
