Woyww 204….….a desk not for showing ....yet.

Firstly I have to confess that my good intentions to tidy and sort went by the wayside last week ….so lets just pretend last week never happened….please ...and I will start again with good intentions to complete the task.
I haven’t crafted  in any form either…not really sure where the week went …but  I thought I’d try a baking experiment yesterday…I tried to invent a Chocolate Banana Cake  ….well I had to do something with those really really  ripe bananas ….and I had waited in all morning  for the boiler man who never came ….not surprising really …. he’s not due to do the service until Thursday.!!! ...senior moment I think.

Sadly the cake was a bit of a disaster…. heavy  and just edible …nice flavour though …but the kids thought it was yummy after school, with a glass of milk….bonus.

…but then its that sort of week … on Monday a broken ball cock …smaller than a marble …caused water to drip through the ceiling from the hot water tank in the loft. ... obviously there had been an undetected problem for some time….I wonder what  today will bring????

I am determined to get on with the reorganization of my room, now my knee, that I hurt while I was away, is at last improving. It was the pain in the joint that also stopped me doing things but it is feeling  better today.

The only problem now, is that my brain is in over drive. I have had time to think…while getting in the zone to attack the chaos.  I want to scrap and make ATC’s …and do some tapestry and Zentangling … jewellery making too ….and maybe some knitting …..and bread making … but it is all going to have to wait until the room and desk are sorted ….. tidyish  maybe ????….NO it has to be sorted THIS week. I do hope Mojo stays around though.

Take Care.xx

Ps I still have two Belfast posts to blog …look out for one in a couple of days … it's on W5 …the most amazing interactive discovery centre for kids … of all ages.

Oh, I get those mad moments as well when the amount I want to do is far too much for the time I have!! Julia would advise me to make a list, but I never was much of a list writer...are you?
Hope all your boiler/ballcock problems are fixed quickly and smoothly.
Hugs, LLJ 27 xx
Ps, I'm glad you enjoy the song titles..it's funny, sometimes one will spring out my brain straight away. Other times it needs research before I find the right one!!

I think we all have weeks like that where we have so much to do and not enough time. Tidying and housework can wait. Nobody ever said on their deathbed I wish I cleaned more!

You have reminded me that I need to bake a cake as I have some bananas a little on the rip side. Never put them in chocolate cake before. Might just try that this afternoon.

Hope you get chance for some crafting this week.

Have a great week

You have been busy.... hope you don't have any more 'incidents' today, and I hope the water didn't cause too much mess. Thanks for visiting already. Helen 3

Goodness, your home is determined to keep your local repairmen in business. Things like that do seem to come in bunches. Sure hope this is the last of the misadventures.
Have you heard of the Yonanas ice cream machine? I have one and it is the perfect answer to over ripe bananas. Delicious and healthy for you as it only uses frozen fruit.

We shall all await the big reveal! I am trying not to let my eyes land on any of the chaos so I can be craftily productive instead :)

Happy WOYWW!

I love mine and have had no problems. Some of the good stuff stays inside but it is easy enough to get to and scoop out. They are $49.00 here.
Sometimes I make extra, stuff it in popsicle molds and freeze them. A great warm weather treat.

Thanks for your comment, 49yrs is indeed scary, I can't believe it either. I put it down to not wearing make-up and never colouring my hair which is decidedly grey now! Hope you get tidied up soon, I reorganised a few weeks back, certainly helps the mojo. Thanks for visiting me already BJ#50

OMG I got so carried away reading and reading and reading all of the wedding stuff. The photos are amazing, e day looked fabulous. I've been here for ages, and have forgotten what your WOYWW was about. DOH! Oh yes, hope you get your plumbing problems sorted and your mojo stays long enough for you to craft.
Great read

Hi,
Sorry I'm so late in calling by this week but I've been having fun all day with my little twinny munchkins and blogging didn't get a look in :-)
It sounds like you've had probs this week too. Let's hope life doesn't get in the way for you this next week.

Maybe try sorting 1st hour, create an hour, sort an hour, craft an hour ? Then the sorting hill doesn't seem so hard to climb !!! Hope you get sorted & have some crafty fun too !! Ali #4

Sounds like there’s not going to be enough hours in the day with that little lot on your ‘to do’ list Angie. That’s what happens when you’ve got your fingers in a lot of pies.
That cake sounds yummy….get the kettle on and I’ll be round……or has it all gone?

Happy Crafting!

Sounds like what you need to do is sit down and make a list. Then it's easier to look at and order in priority. Saves all that stuff running around and around in your brain. :-)

Happy creating and happy woyww!

Hi Angie, glad to find your mojo has returned although I'm exhausted just reading your list :) Could be you've started on the desk tidying today - if so, I hope it's going well. The banana chocolate cake sounds just the sort of thing hungry little boys would enjoy and what else can you do with overripe bananas! Thanks for the suggestion re mum's crocheted lace - a scrap page would be a perfect way of keeping it in the family. Hope you have a great bank holiday weekend. Elizabeth x #92

PS: I've been thoroughly enjoying your Irish photo posts - love the W5 building today.

I am LOVING the belfast posts. I'm so late to WOYWW that I've had time to catch up. I know what you mean about a headfull of stuff to get strated..me too. But that's the list maker in me, because I'm a one job at a time gal and having lots on the go just makes me feel pressured and unable to see any achievement. Strange huh.

Yes, you do have to get focused and maybe just pick one project to start with! I get too crazy when I have too many things started and nothing finished!! LOL Happy WOYWW Angie-it is your fault I started all this craziness 2 years ago! Sue K #14

Yes, it's me, late again, but still trucking! Thanks for hopping to my place earlier, Angie!

Your cake being devoured by the kids when you thought it was "meh," is too funny. Kids will eat anything and it's good because nothing goes to waste!

I hope you have by now tackled the clean up and made a lot of headway. For me, Mojo is even stronger after I've done a clean-up and I know, again, where everything is. When it gets too messy I find I just sort of spending too much time gazing around the room. Then I know it's time for a tidy.

You are a beaver of activity in your head, however! I admire that as I've always been a one-thing-at-a-time kind of girl. (Some might say shallow, ha!)

All the best for the rest of the week. I look forward to your next WOYWW post!! Darnell #60

So glad to hear you are on the mend!!! Yay! And yes, that happens to me as well. Layed up and can't craft...and come up with a gazillion ideas of what to do when I can, lol! Have fun sorting your room out!!!

Where does the time go to Angie? I know exactly how you are feeling (hence my lateness). Sorry to hear about the drip, nothing worse is there.

I have many weeks like yours actually it is better to break it down into days this way it doesn't seem so bad. When things get tough, do some retail therapy on the net, it always helps,e, then I am motivated into sorting the piles in the office to deal with the new stuff coming. This way I have a great start with a clean space to play in. Lists can help but they can also be overwhelming. I also read your w5 post it was really interesting sort of likeable science museum we have here in Australia where everything is interactive. Great post I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing. I still reckon the high tea at the beautiful building was the best.

Angie, you made me tired just listing all the things you want to do... and banana chocolate cake sounds quite nice and I am sure the kids appreciated it no matter if it were a little on the heavy side!! ;) Annette #7
