Week 208.... Happy Anniversary … WOYWW is 4 Today

I have been a rubbish member of the Woyww family this year ….so little actual crafting as Mojo packed its bags and went off on a gap year. Instead you have suffered  me cooking cakes , showing off the grand kids and loads of photos of places and animals ….not forgetting the wedding.
Mojo still is not actually back …it has sent some postcards to my brain …but I just had to join in this week.
I cant believe it is four years since JD had the idea and a little band of us started to link up….now look how many there are …who would have thought. It has been amazing seeing what everyone has created over the years …or not in my case this year….but most of all I love visiting my friends and hearing a little about their lives, as well as their crafting. Learning techniques and being inspired by others is something I also gain from being part of this family …and knowing that if I want to vent or moan …or share a problem…there are a select group that are there at the end of an email …thank you ladies …you know who you are.

This is where I tried to encourage Mojo to return …

You may see the beginning of an ATC in the right hand corner….
I have to make at least  two, ASAP, one for the swap and one for dear Annie (A Stitch in Time) …who sent me one and said I could swap when ready. I was good and only opened it as the clock struck midnight...as instructed.

It is so you Annie …I love it and the poem too …so clever …I will photograph the ATC and share it next week. Thank you so much …it is really appreciated … no one else could have made it ... I will always know who sent it, with out even turning it over.

I have however been messing around with an experimental sort of tea bread containing apple and other unusual  dried fruits, and it was not bad …and as usual Kris and Robbie eagerly ate the spoils, as  after school snacks.

 Here’s your slice  ……

So glad to be part of this …even if I only just manage one  swap…. I will visit as many as my ankles and back allow … sitting without moving, is the problem…..hopefully at least 50 will be visited but I hope more over a few days .
A big thank you to those who leave  comments here…it means so much.

Take Care xx

Yum, thanks for the slice of tea bread, it does look good. One day I am sure that the clever people at Google will allow us to transmit such things over the wires, and our printers will roar into life, and there will be fresh tea bread all over the world! Now, there's a thought! Happy anniversary. This blogging thing is a very nice way to keep in touch with so many people, and it is lovely to see what you get up to. It is a delight to visit your blog. And I did enjoy the wedding!
Best Wishes, P xxx

Dear Angie,
I have really enjoyed becoming a friend through WOYWW and have to say that you are the BEST person at 'getting' my song title each week! I'm sure others can't see the point...but you do, and for that I'm sending you a great big hug!
Happy 4th WOYWW!
Hugs, LLJ 9 xx
PS, that bread looks yum! Any left for me to try?? Lol

Good morning, Angie, all the way from Wales. Gorgeous looking teabread - do you think you could spare me a slice?? My tea, to go with it, has just half a spoon of sugar. Thanks so much.

Angie, can you let me have your address as you are the one to whom I will send my ATC. You are below me in the list. Thanks. Sorry, can't find your e-mail anywhere on your site here - of course, I may be losing the plot and simply have missed it......

Tee hee hee. It's obviously going to be one of those days, as you say. You couldn't find my e-mail address - er - 'cos it wasn't there....must work out how to put it on our site....
margaret.diddanfa@gmail.com will find us.
Sorry 'bout that. I use a google account to comment - but don't use it for our site - so my profile must be different somehow. Really must learn more - if only I had the time....

Doesn't bother me whether I am looking at crafting or things to eat - love them both!
Stop worrying about your Mojo, it will come back when ready and it seems to be deserting lots of people this year so no worries.
Thanks for visiting me earlier and a Happy WOYWW 4th Birthday.
Hugs, Neet xx 1

Even though you've felt yuk, you've still been creative and also a friend to others and you've made other stuff than papercrafts which all counts to the bigger picture that makes up WOYWW.
Celebrate with us all and I'm glad you are a part of it!

The tea bread looks so yummy. Not often we can say that when we craft. Don't worry about mojo it comes and goes for all of us. The woyww catch up has been a lovely respite in the middle of the week. Have a lovely day.

When I first considered joining WOYWW, I sent an e-mail to Julia telling her all the things I'm not: stamper, scrapbooker, etc. She promptly responded that WOYWW was not about specific crafts (look at LLJ who works mainly in fabric and beads), but about the desk, friendship, and comradery.

I love that your "desk" has shifted from your bedroom (yes, I read your blog) to your kitchen. Sometimes these changes are necessary in order to find where you are headed.

I also love the way you take us on breathtaking tours of your country, which is so very different than most desks and places I'll probably never get to visit in my lifetime.

What I'm trying to say is, you are an integral part of this group, and I'm so very happy I got to meet you through blogging.

BTW, thanks for the comment Monday. Yes, I saw the news about the killing. It was very graphic and the channel I watched didn't edit it, either.

Happy WOYWW4 from # 17.

Hi there! Thanks for visiting me earlier. I'm sorry about the mix up over ATCs. I forgot to remove the asterisk! I don't have any to swap I'm afraid. Have a great week!

It’s amazing that the internet can bring together so many likeminded people and I’m grateful that WOYWW has also brought along so many new friends, thanks to Julia.

Now, you’ve certainly not been a rubbish WOYWW’er at all Angie. We all lose our mojo at times, just look at me at the moment. It was you that gave me the encouragement to keep at my heritage album all those years back and I’m still plodding along with it, all be it slowly, so no more of it.
Your desk is looking great and I’m pleased you’ve managed to make a couple of ATC’s

Enjoy your Wednesday snooping on this very special Day
Happy Crafting!

Baking should be considered a creative endeavour. That bread certainly looks beautiful. I had to force my mojo to pay me a visit; not easy but it's good to have it back. Hope yrs pays a visit soon.

Happy 4th, Angie! Thank you very much for my slice of tea bread. I pretended to take it out of the screen and eat it like the lost boys eat pretend food in the film, Hook. I hope Mojo visits you soon, seems a bit rude of it to have gone off for so long. Thanks for popping by, have a great week - Lucy #22 x

ah Shozzy wondered where you had gotten too! I seem to be addicted to good breads here lately but since the dear doctor told me I cant have gluten I am trying to make everything without. Sometimes good sometimes not! Hope Mojo comes back soon. I started making kits so when I am not creative I can follow a kit and still keep busy. Happy WOYWW 4th Anniversary. Have a great week. The tea bread looks great I like that sort of food !
Sometimes we have to find a reason to craft .... I lost my mojo when my daughter was really really ill 18 months ago, in fact it was the time I became a regular to this desk hopping instead on joining in just as and when ... Everyone left kind messages and I showed a neat and tidy desk as all I could do was tidy my craft room and cry
I then had a eight week break from crafting a nursed her . When she was well enough to go back to work my mojo came back ... So you have to have a look where and why yours is hiding ....

Hope you find him

I think that your mojo is thwarted by your back and ankle probs...just when you get into it..you'd have to stop because it gets painful. Weekly or not Angie, your presence here and there is important to us - i love that we are FB friends too, it reassures me when you haven't got a desk to show. And it's ultimately not about the desk at all is it! And thanks too, for the slice...I should warn you that despite my diet, one slice isn't really enough!!

That cake looks delicious, very tempting, just the sort of thing we need with a cup of coffee on a soggy day like today. Not looking forward to my drive up to Derby today. My crafting has been lacking recently. The MoJo is willing, it is just other things getting in the way at the moment. Hope your crafting is soon back in full flow - in the meantime, cake making is crafting too and pleases so many others. xx Maggie #43

Hi Angie, looking at that yummy teabread and just the hint of an ATC it seems like your MOJO is knocking on the door! The great thing about creativity is that it has so many directions if it takes a different turn now and again thats not a bad thing. I've been doing the Wednesday WOYWW for about a year or so missing every now and then, and i agree with all you say , julia has created something very special, happy days to you keep up the good work !
