Wk161 at woyww ...... and a Cat up-date too

Still just knitting I’m afraid …. I tried a Beret this time … might even wear it.

I had to adapt the pattern because ... either I knitted it wrongly or the pattern is wrong  because it states ONE ball but I ran out with the final 11 rows still to knit?????.  I had to frog it back a bit and improvise. Vicki is going to try it with another of the balls I bought .... before I complain.

I have also completed .five ‘Fish and Chip Babies’ outfits …just need to wrap and send them off….they need them by September so I might manage to make a couple more.

Now those of you who are NOT cat lovers …or feel that two felines are more than enough ….STOP reading …. NOW ….and I’ll see you next week….. xx

Other wise ..... let me introduce ......
Ellie
 And ..... Barnaby
DD took the above photos ...they wont stand still for me lol

And this is  one of dear Honey Pot and Ellie....
....not ready to sit together in real life … please note I did not give Honey Pot her name.... Honey (HP)  is my loving ‘bedtime’ cat … all other times she is a hardened ... grumpy... loud ....  out doors feline that we took in a couple of years ago, when her owner couldn’t cope any more …does  Ellie not look like a mini version? ….because of this she is being called Ellie Pot …yep I know …I really have lost it lol.

Shhhhhh .....we now have 20 …yes your read that correctly…and yes we are a tiny bit cat mad …or is that just mad…this is the most we have ever had but I fear we may loose a couple of the older ones over the next year.
If you read my past posts you know that I was only getting ONE, Effie, but she died unexpectedly before she came ….so I decided to have her sister Ellie. Her brother Barnaby was for a friend of DD but we were looking after him for a few weeks. He is so cute and I was beginning to wonder how I was going to hand him over but we heard that they had decided against a kitten finally  …family problems … and I actually cheered.

Nahla had a final check on Monday and they are so pleased with her recovery ….but she really needs to loose weight …interesting that she has been eating apart so we could monitor her … and for 2 weeks she has had tiny portions and no dried food or snacks …and she has lost … .ZERO grams!!!!! …we now have to work out an exercise plan ….this should be fun. ….I can just imagine her and her short little legs…. on a tread mill. …she looks just like a stocky Jack Russell Terrier hence her nick name ‘puppy’....must get a photo but she will not pose for me

Can you spare a prayer or posative thought for my GS Jake today ...he is having an operation on his facial birthmark ...operations are always a worry.

Take Care xx
Sorry I only managed about 40 ish last week ...will try to do better.

That's a great beret! A friend knitted me one last year to match a scarf that I knitted - I love it. Very stylish, I think.

The new kitties are just adorable! Animals are such a big part of our lives, I'm so thankful for mine (just two - one bird and one dog).

great knitting projects. I love those little fish and chip sets. I tried knitting a baret last year and came up short also. I bought another ball but just haven't had the umph to get it finished. Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my blogs posts. Makes me feel someone listens. Have a great week. Vickie. #36

Twenty? Angie, if there weren't three of you, you'd be the 'cat lady'!!! Oh that makes me chuckle. You're just too kind to resist them huh! Good beret, if it was me it would be more than one ball, more than one year, and clots of complaining! I hold Ben in my thoughts...had to think about his birthmark for a mo - amazing what they can change these days, huh.

Aww Angie, I know I’m supposed to be looking at your crafty makes this week but your new editions have much more appeal……aren’t they little cutie darlings……so sweet!
How on earth do you cope with 20 furry friends though. I struggle with just BoJangles but then again he can go through 20 different personalities in a day so I guess it’s about as close as I’ll get, Lol!

Loving the beret but such a shame you run out of wool. It could be that your tension was just a little bit out, which can make a real difference.

Happy Crafting!

Had to laugh at Honey Pot's expression. She does not seem amused at the addition of a mini her:))

TWENTY!! Omy giddy aunt! andI moaned this morning, after only getting to bed just before 4 in the morning, Jinx our 'lodger' cat jumped on my head, woke me up, purring away to be fussed and he was soaking wet! Hubby was about to get up, within the hour so didn't want to disturb him, so fell back to sleep with the heavy weight, (Jinx) laying across me...This morning I've had to wash the duvet, it's filthy!! Muddy paw marks and slodges and hairy bits! How do you cope with 20?! oh...your knitting is lovely!! I must start knitting again, now I'm to be a nanny again on Christmas day! Thank you for my snoop! Have a great crafty week (on your pages!) Happy What's On Your Worktop Wednesday

'Just' knitting indeed! Lovely beret, do you put on a french accent when you wear it, I would be tempted to do so. Well done on all the fish and chip jumpers, just think of all those snuggly babies being carried home wearing them.

Oh my goodness - I can just imagine the noise and complaining if you are late dishing their dinner up. My Dad's two are very vocal and I remember mine also were :)

Honey Pot definitely has a face full of attitude... or should that be Cattitude :D She reminds me of my old Mindy - I miss that girl! I miss them all. A house just lacks something without a moggy in it. One day...

Maybe your tension was a bit loose on the beret and that's why you ended up using more wool? Tension squares are a complete pain but they are useful.
Cute kittens!! They look like a bundle of fun...enjoy :)

Awww Angie what gorgeous kitties! Little Ellie is particularly adorable... When we got 2 new kittens, it took our cat a whole year to accept them, but all was well in the end! Nice knitting too. You will have 2 new knitting assistants now, of course, so it will be a miracle if you get any done! Take up tangling of another sort! On that subject, thanks for your lovely comments on my blog about my zentangles - you really should give it a go as they are bound to be better than scribbles lol! If you go on the Tangle Patterns website (link in my blog sidebar) you will find step by step instructions for everything, and you'll soon be well away!

Thanks for your very kind words about my health - I'm much better today, thank you. I have to be pretty bad not even to be able to draw, so towards the end of the week when I was getting better, I managed to create quite a few ATCs!

beautiful, kitties and I am also happy that the new owners reneged on picking her up, problem solved. I don't think I could of parted with him either. 20 cats, wow I would not be able to get away with that, we have a limit set down by local by laws 2 cats & 2 dogs maximum. Is Honey Pot the mother of the kitties?

Oh and I nearly forgot because the kitties distracted me LOL that the fish n chip babies knitted stuff is lovely.

thanks for sharing, says me who it going back to bed for more sleep. Finally finished working.

Well done on completing the beret. You can usually tweak a pattern when you need to.
I am parceling up 200 Fish and chip jumper and beanie sets this weekend, knitted here in Spain by my fellow ex-pat friends. Fortunately someone is transporting them to UK for free, and we just have to then get them to my contact in time for the September shipment.
Ellie is beautiful. What an appealing little face. I have four 'rescued cats', two persians and two campo cats, and I love them all. I have had ten at once, in UK, but I couldn't cope with that many here. keep up the good work!

Lovely new kitties there Angie, they're so cute at that age, don't think I could cope with 20 though, imagine the racket at feeding time!! Thanks for the card love too today, I love the way it came out I was just a bit annoyed at myself that I used that sketch instead of the other one on my desk!! Hope Jake is ok and the op was successful.

Twenty kitties? Well, now then why is my hubby getting his panties in a wad over my wanting a 4th one? We've had 5 before. I love the new babies, so sweet. Those calico cats have very distinct personalities for sure. Overweight pets... good luck with that. We've tried to diet the 20 pound cat, all that happens is that he gets terribly annoying and breaks into the kitchen cabinets.

Oh yeah, thanks for sharing the knitting too!

the technique I used is putting fluid watercolor in a small cup and dipping one corner of the folder paper towel in different colors and then adding color with a dropper mine blended too much I put too much cold in the cup it just takes a little. hope that makes sense. have a great day

Hi Angie, love your beret and adore your kittens. Even though we have only one elderly prima donna, aka The Boss, now I have had as many as four in the past ... but twenty, the EM wouldn't like that, he's a one-cat man and that's the way The Boss likes it :)) Hope you have a lovely weekend. I would definitely say you are cat mad with 20 in the house. The kittens are just adorable though, very very sweet.

Shame about the beret, you'll have to keep us posted. Unfortunately, I'm starting to find that I can't do the crochet as it's affecting my carpal tunnel quite a lot. Either that, or the damp weather isn't halping - hard to tell which, really!

Thanks for stopping by.

Thats a lotta kitties! But they are really adorable, and I can't blame you for wanting to keep Barnaby. He's just beautiful! :) Love the knitting, wish I could do it, it looks very comforting and the stuff you guys can make is just amazing and way more useful than a card(which is what I can make)! Thanks for stopping by and taking a gander at my mess and projects!
