What light through yonder window breaks? …’Tis my mojo...that hath returneth on week 138.

I have managed to finish my double LO … yeah … and I really had fun with it. I’ve mused over which patterned papers to use … inked endless edges of paper and card … used Pro-markers and metallic rubs to colour chipboard …dug out one of my Nestabilites, my Bigshot and rub- ons …and even did a little hand cutting. I have to be honest and say I did askDD to stick the chip board letters on with glossy accents, for me. I don’t know what it is but the more delicate and careful I try to be with it, the more it spreads everywhere and I really did not want to mess my LO’s up.

This photo is actually Tuesday afternoon and is just as I finished the second page …if I don’t start organizing myself early, I would never get it posted …and then by the time I link on Wednesday I’m still well up in double numbers …but at least I’m on the list.

Here is my finished Double LO.

I used an embossing folder, two distress inks and a tiny bit of hand cutting, to create this wall effect I've taken a close up of …I felt I wanted to tie in the fact he was a builder too, … even if others will not know know the significance.

Ooops …I’m off to remove that cat hair…lol

I have put the LO’s on my ‘Glimpsing the Past’ blog with what I know of his life and have recounted the significance of the memorial in the photo. (Just click on the button at the top of the page if you want to know more)

I am hoping Mojo is here to stay …at least for a while … as I really want to finish my canvas’ and I want to alter a set of drawers…. not forgetting the hundreds of modern photos that are crying out to be scrapped.

The cats seem to be all well at the moment …maybe I shouldn’t have said that …tempting fate … …cant believe we had to take three to the vet in the same number of weeks.

I seem to be coping with the tablets even if I still am straying a little from the straight and narrow, with regards food …mind you …what is the straight and narrow? The only advice I’ve been given really is to eat healthily … use sugar free drinks and sweetener (which I do anyway), cut portion size, stay below the recommended total level of sugar in a day and to eat everything low, very low or Zero fat …trouble is …as you dieters out there know … products that are low fat are usually higher in sugar than the regular ones??????.

Thanks again everyone for your support and thank you for visiting here ….I love to read your comments and will always return the complement …unless blogger wont let me. lol

Take Care xx

Sorry about the strange variations in text ....have tried to sort it ...this is 6th time lucky ...but I doubt it ....so I am giving up lol

Oh....what's a cat hair here or there? LOL
Glad to hear you've got your mojo back. Sometimes I think my goes missing for a reason. The reason? Not sure really but when it comes back it's refreshed and ready to go and that's perfectly OK with me. Thanks for stopping in! I always enjoy visiting you!

I like that LO - it's a strong look which matches the man in the photo. I especially like the brick wall reference to his trade!
DH didn't have any specific diet advice either. He has cut down a lot on sweet things and it has worked. He refuses to eat low fat spreads though, so still has a teeny amount of butter. Good luck with finding a routine that works.

I am giggling over the cat hair! I kept brushing at the screen until I read it was on your end! God bless the critters! Love the LO and what you did with the 'brick' wall. Glad you tolerating the pills and doing well. Have a great week and thanks for sharing! Vickie #27

Fabric is more my forte so I am not so familiar with paper crafts, I get a bit fazed with the abbreviations you use, maybe you could do a list so that I know what you are talking about.
Glad you're felling better, my problem is digestion, can't eat most things I love so similar to you but for different reasons.
Don't lose any weight though.....

Back again....I have to say the Pro Markers did bleed a bit...it was a learning curve for me...the trick is to not hold the pen on the fabric any length of time but to do a quick stroke with the pen.:-)

Hi Angie, good to read you are in crafting mode again and getting to grips with works in progress as well as completing this double layout which I love. I've been over and read the history behind it, fascinating ... I think he may have been a powerhouse of a man. As usual I like what you have done to create a vintage feel and the 'brick wall' is a nice touch. On the sugar front, one of the most frustrating aspects of avoiding sugar is, as you say, often low-fat means high sugar content ... and it's everywhere, even in tomato soup for goodness sake! It's a minefield out there :( On that note I wish you a happy week crafting. Elizabeth x #47

PS: thanks for popping in and leaving a comment - cheers me up no end to hear from you :)

Those darn cat hairs end up everywhere don't they?
So glad you are still on top of the diabetes. You are right, they remove fat only to add sugar and vise versa. Manufacturers really make it tough on us who are trying to be healthy. Eating raw may be the only way to beat them.

Lovely Scrapbook pages, we have 3 cats too and it always seems to be that when a visit to the vets is needed, they all need to go for one reason or another and then we have a HUGE bill, hope you get on well with your tablets and that you soon start to feel the benefit from them Hope you have a really good week, Lou #84

So glad you've got your mojo back at last and the results are well worth the mess. Such treasures those LOs and I really enjoyed your account too. I read the full story on Glimpsing the Past. James was such a valuable person and he gained his OBE when they weren't given lightly as so often they are today.
Hoping the tablets are doing their job and you soon begin to feel as though you are winning!
Hope to email you later... having a new fireplace installed as I type.

I've experienced strange text variations too..tiny and LARGE..very frustrating! Methinks you are turning into Shakespeare! I should like a share of that Mojo please, really am very our of it at the mo. Love the LO of James, my word he was a well respectable character huh. How well he did and recognised too, he must have been greatly proud..I like the wall effect - clever detail.

Great job on the layout--I always like seeing heritage pages because I have so many to do and I like seeing other people's take on them. Nice!

Yeah, low fat usually means high carbs, not a good trade off. Anyway, love the double layout. I hope you mojo sticks around for awhile.

Dont fret too much about the cat hair - it just adds to the history - a cat was here - kinda thing! The layout is lovely and the little snippets you put in are perfect, you know they are there even if others don't notice!
Glad to hear you are on a roll and things are settling down!

Glad you're up and at 'em..Lots of great stuff here today. I've had the same problems with my print sizes etc.Tried so many things and nothing helped. It just came and went later. Don't know what the problem was.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week

That's a fantastic LO, I'll be popping over to your other blog to read the whole post in a minute. I'm not so keen on the low fat type of diet, especially as Mother Nature provides each item as a complete entity that our bodies can use and digest (butter for example), and man comes along and takes those apart (removes the fat) and now our bodies can't digest what's left because it doesn't have all the right compounds! It might lower our cholesterol but it doesn't do much else! I think moderation is the key.

It is really hard to diet. The sugars and the fats like you say don't work well together . Keep trying though. Nice work and great story on other blog
