IIWA Wk 18 ... WOYWW

To paraphrase ...if that is the correct word ... a great Bard ......

To tidy .... or not to tidy? ... That is the question.
Whether it is braver to face the scorn ...
Of those amongst us who are sickeningly tidy ...
Or to make efforts to remove the mess before the shot
and by doing so ... cheat.

This time you have my table in ALL its glory ...and it also shows what an untidy person I am.
Remember ... I finished those last two LO's on Sunday ...and its now WOYWW. All I have done since, is ponder on a DLO and pile more bits up. I have to admit that I have reached the point where EVEN I have to tidy before I can continue.

I am going to be strong and not just clear a corner ...well that's my intention ... but if ideas come to mind as I tidy ... as often they do ... I might just have to stop and pander to my creativity lol ...well that will be my excuse.

Take care xx

You pander away ... I would just move the big bits if I was you ... plenty of space to work then ... the poor duck looks like he has a bit of a headache :0)

Love it Angie - Mine is still just as bad as last week so you are in good company. If you ask me it's these tidy people that are a bit odd. It's not right, it's just not natural... it's really freakishly wrong...Oh *sssh* Paige is coming... LOL!

A kindred spirit! Why spend time "tidying" if one can find the bits and pieces needed to go on working! My daughter frequently uses the "O" word to me quite severely--she feels I should be ORGANIZED. She sometimes tackles my kitchen counters when she is off her school job for the summer. She makes things look nice, but she is NOT allowed to touch anything in here. What on earth can be wrong with stacks of books falling over when the cats walk by, piles of family history notes sliding off the desk, fabric for several projects piled on the sewing table. A rhetorical question---we creative souls find nothing wrong in a bit of clutter!

I love it..and I'm with Linda - move thebig bits and see if the underneath inspires you! And my art teacher used to say 'a cluttered desk is the sign of a genius'. I'll take that!!

Angie, you caught my desk on a very unusual day - mine is usually sooooo much worse than yours :-/ Yours is just the normal sort of untidiness that can't be helped when crafting - I know SOME people tidy as they go but when you're crafting you just keep getting more and more out as you go. Unless you know EXACTLY what you're going to make when you start it's inevitable that you will create a little mess. If we put away each item once it was used it would interrupt the creative flow - what a good excuse I think I'll use that in future LOL. Feel free to use that one yourself hehehe As I work in the kitchen if I do run out of space; once I start using my new table; then I'll go back to using the kitchen table and the 4 chairs to hold stuff ;)

You ain't seen nothing yet! LOL. I've moved rooms as I can't get to my desk in my pc room! Ok. So I use the conservatory for the light but I'm running out of space there too. At least I know where everything is. Maybe my New Year's resolution will be to tidy my desks!

You lot are awful!!!! I'm not that bad really!!! am I? I promise I don't tidy away before the camera comes out. it's as is!!! promise However I would love to come around and help you tidy as it's one of my favourite past times other than scrapping. just ask my friend alsion I go up twice a year (if not more) and clear out her craft room for her and reorginise everything. she loves it and so do I. :)

Tidying up is ok as long as you can find everything when you move things, isn't it? Maybe you could just move the big things to give you abit more room... then there is still time to craft, yes?
I must admit to being in an unusual mess with mine... I am making my Christmas cards... this is my excuse... OH just shakes his head! ... I don't have personal space to scrap, I have to use the livingroom or the kitchen table!

Whats the point. If you put it away you will only have to get it out again.
Looks a lot like my table. So I speak from experience. x

I just noticed that you have an Olfa mat for cutting papers and scrap embellishments [if I have the right terms?] same thing I use for cutting quilt pieces. Not sure why, but that pleases me immensely.

OK - how spooky is this - we could be twins. I have a worktop that ends up looking like that EVERY time I turn my back to it. And most of my work ends up being made on top of a pile... =0) Thanks for visiting my blog.
