Not a great Ending.

I spied these sparrows playing at the end of my neighbours garden.... thank goodness for my zoom which allowed me to capture their antics.

Unfortunately .... half an hour later, HP (Honey Pot) sat wailing at the back door and then shot through the house ...holding a trophy in her mouth.

Take care xx

There are days aren't there, when you could do without the reality of the circle of life! Grandma watched in horror as a buzzard took a pigeon off her patio last week, quite a shock!

Aww...sad thing - nature Angie. I have seen 2 dead seagulls in the garden next door - foxes on the prowl! ~Glen~

It is so hard when you love both. Even Mighty dog gets an occasional fledgling.

Ahh that promised to be a lovely story. Can't help nature though eh?

In our feline family it is little Nigella Stopit that rather fancies small flapping feathered things..., she also thinks that lizards are rather fun to play with, (yeeerk!). Our Ginger hunts mice, rats, and rabbits and will give them to Nigella once he has brought them into the house!

Once saw a New Zealand falcon have a major battle with a grey heron about 100 feet up in the top of a tree. Both birds tumbled out of it locked together, and crashed out of sight in the shrubs and bushes at the bottom of the tree. Never did manage to see which one came out the victor.
