WOYWW ...the Cetenary week

Although this week has again sped past at a rate of knots, I have managed to enjoy the sun as well as doing mundane things …not that I sunbathe … but it encourages me to go out more and enjoy my surroundings…and basically feel better about myself.

Last week I didn’t dare show you my craft area …and I still cant …but I am giving you a sneak peek into the mess that is mine.

Those of a tidy nature look away now …unless you love cats.

The Fireman Sam blanket was deposited in the middle of it all, by either K or R ….or was it me in an absent minded moment?? … and then Willow took up residence. The patterned paper just visible at the top, is a wallpaper sample for maybe the feature wall in my bedroom …in the alcove behind my bed …all the rest of the walls will be plain, as they will mostly be hidden by storage for clothes and crafts.

Last week I showed you the result of the lesson at our crop… and so many thought it was a fun technique too and worth a try. Well done Vicki for bringing it to our attention …she is not sure where she saw it first or whether it emerged from her own grey matter but I’m not sure it matters as her variations are endless and certainly her own.

Here was my effort for the challenge that was set for the Easter Crop… didn’t follow it as close as I should have but I was happy with the result…. not bothered whether I won or not …and I didn’t lol

…and here are two I finished off in between chatting.. There would have been three but when I photographed the third, I realized that it needed something more. I know my LO’s are simple but it was too simple. …even for me.

I have been digging out old lettering which may well have gone out of fashion but ‘waste not etc’ and if it fits requirements ….why not.

What do you do with old stash you still might or might not, one day have a use for …

Bin it or Save it …or Give it away?.

I think the weather will break today …it would be nice to have just one more glorious day though. I hope everyone has enjoyed this glimpse of summer we are having in spring …I know I have.

I will visit as many WOYWW blogs as I can over the next three days …seems to be around 70 of you each week …remember, if you visit me and I haven’t made it to you, I WILL return the kindness and visit you.

Thanks to all that dropped by … it means so much.

Take Care xx

Oh I hope you still have a glorious day. I LOVE the wallpaper proposed, how striking will that be. And how can you call it a mess when it all co-ordinates so well! Lovely LOs..gracious the boys are so lovely!

"Work in Progress" is just precious.
Wish my cat would do that instead of draping herself between my shoulders and the couch EVERYTIME I sit.
Hope you have another great day. They have been so few here that they are like gold when they come.

I really enjoyed the previous post of the dedication of the Angel statue. It was marvelous. And that pink building is gorgeous.

I really like those layouts you made. Although I don't scrapbook, I think your pages are always a cut above. And I will use any and everything in my arsenal. Sometimes it's hard to find the one thing I'm looking for, but I never pitch (or bin) anything. Probably why I have so many boxes of things sitting around now! In fact, a friend gave me a batch of her old paper stash and I was thrilled! Happy WOYWW (#6).

Your puddy cat looks soooo gorgeous! Aw Bless!
Nice layouts! I loved that Cosmo Cricket papers - used it a few times for layouts with my hubby and cars! Have some left which I am keeping to make a mini album for him too.
Old stash - keep it if I like it - give it away to my neighbour for her Children's Craft Club if I don't!

Aww Angie, Willow looks so comfortable on that blanket…..bless!
Your LO’s this week are beautiful. Full of bright colours.
As for my crafting left overs ……..I usually pass them onto my friend Lythan. She runs a craft class at her church and they are always grateful for any new stash to play with.
Happy Crafting

Just hoping this "glimpse" of sunshine is not the only one we get and summer turns out as per the usual. Could get quite used to this good weather!
Thanks for sharing some more LO's which I don't find plain at all and I am sure lettering does not go out of fashion - well in this house it doesn't. Maybe because I am not a scrapper I don't know these things.
Hugs, Neet x

Love the kitty on your desk. I will always look at blogs with kitties on them! I pass on all my little scraps of paper etc to a friend and she keeps them for her grand daughters to play with when they visit. They love them, apparently. Thanks for your kind words re my canvas.

Hi Angie,
great layouts! I like simple too! Besides I have too many pictures to make complicated layouts worthwhile! I can always bury my old stash in a collage or under gesso. Patsy from

Hi Angie, couldn't resist the cat so stayed despite your warning. You've been making some cracking layouts recently, putting me to shame. Brilliant photos of Cupar and your ancestor - love the idea of photographing buildings where they have lived to create that link with the past. I really haven't got a lot of old stash but I have passed some on to my wee granddaughter because she loves crafting. BTW, it's raining here today - typical, polling day and it rains! Hope you have a great week. Elizabeth x #38

Oh my , I love your kitty cat! I do miss mine. Yes Rufus the dog, did get VERY muddy, just as well we kept his lead on, as we really had to pull, to get him out!
Love those papers on your lay out, (the cars) really could do with something like that right now!
Happy WOYWW!

Great layouts and desk !!

Love those layouts, they are perfect for being "simple". Simple takes a lot of thought as there is nowhere to hide. My old stash is not that old as I have not really been doing it for long. However, as my tastes have changed, a lot of stuff heads to my grandaughter for her to play with. You could donate it to the nearest school to encourage them.
Thank you for your visit earlier, and your lovely comments. I am even more behind on visits this week as we are trying to pack the caravan to go on holiday next week.

Well, I love simple so I think your LOs are brilliant! I also like the look of your funky wallpaper.

Cute kitty too, if my little dog jumped up on my desk everything would be covered in little muddy pawprints!

Great layouts...If the blanket is a fleece then I can understand why the cat jumped the chance to sleep there. My cats love fleece. Sorry I am late getting around this week but I haven't been feeling well this week! Thanks for sharing. Vickie #36
