WOYWW 81

Sorry ... no work surface ….or area for that matter…too ashamed that the table is actually totally buried....and that is no exaggeration ...DD says she is going to blitz it before Xmas so we can start afresh in the New Year

I found a tiny space to make 4 cards on Monday…then dropped them in the post box before taking a photo, as I realized it was the last day for 1st class and got in a flap …then cursed as they disappeared from reach because I could have shown you all that I do actually make the odd card.

Here are two LO’s I finished at the end of last week …. while I still could find a corner to work on. …. I have been meaning to scrap them for a year.

Spending time with Ben and Jake last year made it all magical again for me as when one sees Xmas through a little ones eyes it’s so special. This year it will be Robbie and Kristofer who share their wonder with me. Poor things are really unwell at the moment so I hope they are better by the 25th. I think it is some virus but it has pushed their temperatures to 40 or 104 in old money lol. … regular Calpol and ‘sponge downs’ have been needed. Poor Robbie just does not understand and sits there sobbing as the cloth touches him …mind you Kristofer was only a little better but his temp seems to be staying below 100 now.

I wish everyone out there a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I send you warm hugs and raise a glass to the wonderful world of blogs where I have met so many good and interesting friends.

Take Care xx

PS Found out earlier that the boys have the flu so am prayingit has not passed on to us adults.

I must have missed the story about two little boys ending up at your home, but I can surely wish that the flu leaves your house speedily. Never a good time to be ill, but especially not Christmas!

Hope that the flu soon passes and you manage to avoid it, 104 is hot stuff! Talking of "hot stuff"!..... we have been buffeted by really strong gales here for the last 2 days and high temperatures in the early 30s... nearly 90 F,... Not the same as having a temperature.., but we are almost as grumpy and tired! As we sit here perspiring with the garden wilting and branches falling off the trees... it is hard to believe that it is almost Christmas! Good King Wenceslas would be hard put to find something "deep and crisp and even" down here.... unless he was crunching his way across the remains of the shrubbery! Send some of your snow this way!

Anyway.., in spite of all of all of our woes, I do wish you a Happy and Peaceful Christmas, and much joy with your family and friends.

Peter, Laura, Nigella Stopit, and Ginger xx

Horrible one going round this year -sounds like what Ruby had, it was soscary because sh e was burning up but shivering and complaining she was cold. Wouldn't eat and just kept going into these deep deep sleeps. It's all but gone now though and has just left her with a cold at the end of it and Devvie and I have ear infections! Joy!

I know what you mean about seeing it magical again. The older two have sort of been done with Santa and everything for a year or two now though I think they kept the pretence up for me so we've all been enjoyng seeing it through Ruby's eyes this year :D

I just breaks you heart when little ones suffer. They just don't understand why you can't make them better. Sure hope that fever breaks soon.
