woyww 157 …The beginning of our Fourth year together

Three wonderful ladies asked if they could send me an ATC …even though I had not joined in with the swap….what a kind thought.

The first to arrive is one from Jo aka Twiglet.

What can you say about this other than ……..WOW… It is absolutely stunning …the photo does not do it justice. Thank you so much Jo …I am thinking of framing it.

What a WOYWW week we had   …whether one calls it a Birthday or an Anniversary …we celebrated by having the nose to beat all noses, around everyone’s spaces …with loads of good wishes and friendship thrown in for good measure. .I managed to comment on over 100 …sometimes they were short but at least you know I’d made it to you. …although I was prevented doing so by a few. …and I kept forgetting my number …which changed anyway.lol

So what is on my space?… my first two ‘Fish and chip’ sets …..???? I can hear you  wonder …the link is on last weeks WOYWW post….and on Twiglets blog….but basically they are for babies in Africa that are wrapped in newspaper after their birth, as the area is so poor.

I have tried to keep it short this week as part 2 of my holiday photos will be going up tomorrow….another over load of photos and words…even though I have really tried to thin the photos right down for you. …hope those who saw the first ones have the stamina for a second lot. …intravenous coffee maybe?
I shall do my best to get round to as many of you as I can.

Take Care xx

PS I really cant get to grips with this new blogger system ....takes me soooooooo long to post grrrrrrrrr.

Hi Angie, yes, I'm still up but going to bed soon. Loved your post on Inverness - I've been there many years ago but it was great to read all about it from you. Your little sweaters are gorgeous and I'm not surprised you are so chuffed with your ATC, it is gorgeous and I would definitely find a way of displaying it - it's too good to hide away :) Hope you have a lovely WOYWW. Elizabeth x - too early for a number :)

Love your fish and chip sets. Even though they are all made from the same pattern they all look so different by using different combos of wool. :-)

Happy WOYWW. Fab knitting for those poor needy babies - I would love to join in, but not able to knit now due to pain in my hands. That is an amazing ATC - puts my efforts to shame. Ali x #54

Those newborn clothes are precious. How awful that they are wrapped in news paper. What a kind and thoughtful thing to do.

Gosh, you got a great ATC. And those little baby outfits are lovely. It's great that you took the time to give the babies something pretty as well as practical.

I'd never heard of 'fish & chips' sets. I'm terrible at needlecraft! Your sets are adorable and I'm sure they will be much appreciated!

Lovely ATC, too.

Love the little fish and chip set - I heard about this and I've downloaded the pattrn but haven't knitted any yet. I love the beautiful ATC! Wish i had joned in but can't do much atm unfortunately.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, and glad you like the fan zentangle. I'm uploading a post about the 2 coloured zetangles so watch this space lol!

As for the problems you're experiencing with posting using the new blogger, I have been using Windows Live Writer )(part of Windows Live that you can download free from Microsoft) for some time now and it's much better, easier to use and easy to control too. I highly recommend it.

Happy WOYWW,

So pleased my atc arrived at last. We seem to have a problem with delivery to Scotland from this area. A Blog candy prize never ever arrived to Elizabeth and other mail has taken ages.
Love jo x
Quaking now as there's a fuel problem at Mchester airport. Hope we get there ok!

Love your knitted baby jumpers Angie, aren't they fun to make, and so rewarding.
Thanks for dropping in on me this week and yes the 'pork pie' shot is a good one. Good job I pressed the shutter then and not 15 mins afterwards when she threw it over her shoulder.

Im late, but my excuse is that I'm catching up over 10 days of posts at each blog! LOVED seeing and reading your holiday notes - you had some fab weather. And food...and that's a big part of the deal for me!

I'm a bit late getting round the WOYWW desks this week - been busy making 3 more little wedding waistcoats. Those little dumflings keep popping up everywhere!! Inverness pics above are stunning. Have a great week. x Jo

Apologies for being so late visiting but I'm here now...better late than never eh?
What a special gift to give those little new babies...its unimaginable to think of them being wrapped in newspapers.

I'm going to have to come back tomorrow to read all of your Inverness posts. It'll give me my UK fix for the week ;D
My daughter lives in Edinburgh so I'll enjoy visiting.
Thanks for visiting my place earlier...I really appreciate your visit.
Hope your weekend is going well ~ enjoy! Neesie #7
