Wk 127 ….Finally, I've finished my canvas

This my desk ….not quite so much mess as last week and I'm actually working on the desk ….some bits have been filed away ….some piled on the end of my bed.

I am now addicted to playing with paint …and I find it de-stresses me.

I have just watched a card lesson on Miss Art’s Paper Crafting School …. and have jotted down some sketches of the cards …they are meant to be for Xmas cards but I think they could be adapted for birthday ... or anything really …any way I am going to give them a go …after I’ve had a play with these 4 little canvases I have just coated in Gesso. I have filed away papers for a couple of LO’sI had in mind, in to a ‘to do’ box …think they can wait as I am having such fun getting mucky.

I finished my first canvas ….at last …and here it is

These are close ups including what I did with the side..

Not everyone’s cup of tea but I’m happy with it …away to be artistic with out being able to draw.

Lastly …..Catch up on my week ….

The washing machine is now fixed and its cold enough to have the radiators on to speed the drying of our Mount Everest of washing …no I don’t have a drier …always thought they cost loads to run.

My arm is a lot better though I think I may end up with a few hairline scars … couldn't resist scratching …ankle is swelling less often …back is still reacting to stress and ceasing up.

I managed to bake a batch of large cookies …well two lots …white and milk chocolate … and plain with cherries. I totally forgot to take a picture as I was so excited with the results and the back was beginning to ache. When I remembered … there were so few left I wasn’t worth it…better luck next time as I will hide them.

Take Care. xx

Your baking always sound wonderful--the sort of things I'd like to nibble with a mug of tea! Do you use dried cherries? I keep them on hand for cookies and muffins, even put them in my bowl of oatmeal porridge.

Lovely canvas, worth all your effort. Your non-photograph of the cakes reminds me of my cousin's family -
"Mummy, why don't you make 'butterfly buns' like Auntie Flo does?"
"In our house they never get time to hatch out into butterflies!"

Love your canvas! Doesn't crafting have a tendency to be a great form of 'therapy'? Love what you've done with that piece! Isn't it a great feeling when you can just 'let loose' and go in whatever your imagination lets you! :D

Thanks for sharing

Happy WOYWW

Can see all the fun and energy that went into the canvas just looking at it. I am currently resisting turning up the heating just for the sole purpose of drying all the washing (which is piling up as it take several days to dry - but the heated airer is now helping with this!). I miss the sunny days of 3 loads a day! Looking forward to seeing what you so with the 4 small canvases :)

Lovely result with your canvas..... that will teach you not to give up. The collage of close up pics looks amazing in it's own right.
Don't think a tumbler dryer will cost you lots... it saves your house getting cooler from losing energy drying wet things, it also save damp building up inside the house... it's gotta go somewhere! It also means almost NO ironing if you hang things straight out of the dryer and most things come out crease free. It also saves time hanging wet clothes, be it indoors or out then bringing them off the line! Sold it yet???
Thanks for your lovely comments on mine,
Love JoZarty x

LOL about the cookies! My kids "poison test" ours out of the oven...that way if there is something wrong with them, no adults get sick! ...it is amazing how many cookies it takes to make sure that they are safe! I like the canvas...although it took a while to find the imagine ( I kept going I am a... in my mind). Thanks for sharing your WOYWW- Amanda

Thank you Angie! I so appreciate your compliments. the feather will be in Jude Hill's hands soon and hope it will make someone happy somewhere down the line. LOL - It was my sweet, almost 4 year old granddaughter who played with the cotton! LOL!!! She LOVES the glitter glue and uses it and glitter EVERY chance she gets. :)

I'm not allowed cookies on my diet... at least I probably could have some if I forsook the glass of wine... so that's not on the cards.
Your arty stuff looks fab!

Love the colour and movement in your painting. Can't believe you have to have radiators, we don't even own a heater. Gotta love sunny Queensland, Australia. 8.30am and it's 25 degrees!

You sound to be a real whizz at baking - I just never get the time and it wouldn't last two minutes in the tin but would certainly last a long lingering time on the hips at this house.
Your canvas has turned out great.
Hope your arm is soon healed and your ankles stop swelling - mine do the same - nuisance isn't it.

Baking sounds yummy. Love your painting, me thinks you are a natural. As long as you have fun that's the main thing. Off to read more about your injuries now

I'm late. Love the canvas, really is a lovely form of self expression, specially if it's a de-stress tool too. I specially like the shadowy dandelions. Cor, glad to hear about the washer, isn't it incredible how fast it builds up and how long it takes to catch up!

LOL - I don't know what it is, must be the time of year, but every blog I visit seems to have some reference to baking.... ROFL.....

Read your post about catching a cat and did chuckle mightily the whole time. In fact, I read it out to Mr B and Lil Miss B as they were sat in the same room. We can all empathise. Living in a house with two dogs, two cats and a snake, we have equally interesting moments....

Thanks for stopping by!
