Wk 126 …For me ... when inspiration strikes ….there is no time for anything else...especially being tidy.

My desk is ….well ….a total mess to put it politely …there are other ways to describe it.... but none that didn't need a few **'s
I hang my head in shame … I came up to tidy …honest … and then create
…even meant to put my clothes away …BUT … my brain clicked in to creative mode …before the much needed tidy mode kicked in.

I have been pondering about what to do with my canvas after I had added the flowers that were waiting to be adhered to its surface … suddenly a thought sparked an idea … a phrase came to mind and I had to do something with it …other wise the spark would fade and be no more…nothing stays in my head for long nowadays …so easily side tracked. I actually worked on top of the pile of boxes you see before you ...fearing that the moment would be lost if I moved them lol

I think the canvas will stay a simple, flat, design but I need to cover it in PVA and paint or ink the sides, so when I have done that I will take a photo and post it as it is difficult to see it in this shot ….I’ll probably do it later in the week. It was a canvas of Carmen’s at ‘Woopidoings’ that ignited the grey cells in order for me to complete it …thanks for that xx

My ankle has felt better this week …but my back worse …told you I cant win ...its one or the other ...very rarely neither. lol

Thanks to all that dropped by and left comments last week …every one is so appreciated …I love reading them so much and will get round to as many as possible this week.... only managed about 40 last week ...oops

Take Care. xx

This post made me smile SO much - can just imagine you working away on top of that pile there :D

Can't wait to see the canvas when it's finished. Thank you for the fabulous compliment!

Who says we have to be tidy?? [My daughter nags me to be more "organized."]
I like the idea of working in a neat space--but its never going to happen here!

A mess on your desk is only a temporary state of craftiness until the next urge to create happens! Let's go with that, K? I do hope your back and ankle work things out amongst themselves and soon for your sake! Love your post!

With all that creativity around you I'm sure you just had to stay crafting. Tidying is best done when Mojo goes on his holidays :-)
Hope you have a pain free week.
Hugs,

Love the pile! Need to kick my kids out of my space to create these days! LOL glad that the ankle is better, but sad that it is at the price of the back! Hope that the WOYWW site is up soon! Thanks for sharing -Amanda

We are kindred spirits, mate, as I would rather craft than do housework any day of the week!!! I do keep the important bits clean but the rest can go hang, lolol! Great work with your freeflow canvas, it's going to be fab :)
BTW, there was just summat wrong with Blogger, Julia's fine and dandy :)

Now, even I don't work on top of piles that high! Create in chaos, I say. Hope your aches and pains get better this week!

That is one mess to be proud of ... magnificent and you managed to craft on it. Well done! Love the previous posts with the children and the pumpkins too!

You musn't worry about comment numbers. I made it to all but a handful and missed getting to you - I wanted to say how much I love your comments on WOYWW days when I ask people not to advertise or to follow the odd 'rule' or good manner thing - the last one that made me really chuckle was how put out you were on my behalf that there are about a hundred links but not the same number of comments....still smiling at that! Being side tracjked andhaving to work on top of stuff? That's absolutely me...totally incapable of holding an idea in my head - try it now or lost it forever!! Lovely that you're getting inspiration from a fellow WOYWWer, Carmen is no slacker with ideas for sure!

I have promised that once I have finished my Christmas cards I will tidy my room and reveal the very large work area I really possess. At the moment, I am at the stage of just pushing harder at the encroaching piles of glittery stash. Hope your ankle soon recovers properly.

Aww, I am so sorry you are aching and hope your ankle and back learn to behave.
Please be all better soon.
Returning some gentle hugs.

Strike while the iron is hot works for me too, hope you didn't get paint on your clothes though! Very cute Halloween photos, did you save the pumpkin seeds too? You can roast them and add some flavourings for a nice savoury snack.

Yey! Now that's what I call a messy desk. Makes me feel so much better when I know I'm not the only one out there

Your desk is only in that state because of what's gone on before - a sign of creativity having happened! Look forward to seeing the canvas x

Yep, my mind always manages to skip 'tidy mode' too! :)I have a fridge magnet that says 'Boring people have immaculate houses'- if thats how its judged, I must have the most exciting life imaginable, lol. Anyway, as far as I am concerned, if I can find something,(eventually) that counts as tidy!Happy WOYWW, Shaz

Well, I'm sure you know by now that I'm Mrs Neatnik around my work space, what you don't know is that I abhor housework and can't make a virtue out of doing it either. As I've been advised to 'pace myself' I'm happy to do one itsy bitsy job a day when I'm feeling well, and nothing when I don't ... that way everything gets attention at some point ... eventually :) Your canvas, what I can see of it at that angle, is looking great. Sorry to hear your back is playing you up now - hope it eases soon and that you have a better week. Elizabeth x #59

I didn't make it to WOYWW this week, but had to stop by to check out your week. Loved the pumpkin cat. It was purr-fect (yep, couldn't resist).

I would be glad to come clean for you, since I'm such a neat freak. Guess that only happens to people who truly are neat freaks.

Like the work on your desk, and love the jack o'lanterns! No evil spirits stopped at your house then, as you've said by all your callers being nice and polite.

Thanks for stopping by....

Hi Angie,
Hope you're feeling better!
I too work on top of my pile of whatever! Sometimes I just have to dump my stuff on the floor! Patsy from

Ah Angie we must be related! I am like you in that when the crafting bug hits everything else takes second place. My husband worries I will get lost someday in the 'pit'. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #68

Love the mental picture of you working on a pile of wonky boxes. Look forward to a better view of the canvas as it sounds so interesting.
Nope, my 'puter does not link me direct I still have to search about. Love the numbers. Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet x #11

Creating wins over tidying any day, so I think you made a good choice:)

Love that pile! I have had times like that too, where I just keep going, right over everything. Love that canvas you are doing.

Loved seeing your work space and learning about your working method.
Your 'seize the moment' outlook is inspiring.

I hope your back is feeling better (and your ankle stays better too).

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving your lovely comment. I have a feeling my 'He loves me' painting is going is going to change and morph for a while yet. It's been one of those pieces.
