WOYWW? … Not really sure....yet

Firstly ... thanks for so many kind wishes over my aches and pains last week …the knee pain went as quickly as it appeared and my back is a little better but still hates me walking much more than to the corner shop. I have cut down on the pain killers and I feel it will gradually get back to normal …it usually does . Yes I know I should see the doctor but, as I have said before …. I know what he will say…’Go on a diet’. I also have a sort of phobia over going to the docs …in fact I get so stressed I totally feel my spine turn into a rod, breathing becomes heavy, and my heart beats faster ….so stupid considering I was a Radiographer in my younger days …but then maybe that’s why, a mix of knowing too much and not wanting to be a bother ….well enough of all that ….WOYWW is here AGAIN.

Most of you out there are probably thinking along the lines of … OMG ….IIWA and the answer is a resounding …YES IT IS …. and we are now on week48.

The title of this post is true ….I really don’t know what is on my table. I have tried to plan what to do for the Wk52 challenge and have gone in more circles than dancing round a Maypole …. so I though I would attack it the same way I doodle. …. let mind and hands take over and lets see what happens. So who knows what this will turn into …or if I even use it in the end …maybe I will have a flash of inspiration taking me in another direction

.It is thus true to say that my table really only has Gesso on it and a wood ‘Thingy’. If you peer off to the end of the table, you can just see the chaos at the bottom of some of my shelves …. I grabbed something … all around decided to jump off their piles too …in fact the shelf below is a lot worse but my back didn’t want to let me tidy it up …well I was too lazy really. You can also see a lot of the other chaos in the room ….don’t let the shots of tidy shelves in earlier posts fool you into thinking I am actually a tidy crafter lol

Here to finish, is a photo I took yesterday of another of our cats …. China.

She has a wonderful deep purr when stroked but moults handfuls of hair, as you oblige her after a tap on your arm. She has also started chatting a lot over the past year …. rather like the sound made when she spies a bird through the window …a sort of clicking but more vocal. She will be 10 this year….hard to believe …DD got her when her Dad died …where have the years gone??.

DD got her Scrapping Mojo back after quite a long break and has decided to join in this WOYWW for the first time this week …welcome to the club Jay …or Julia as she was named by her loving parents …a name we thought she would never shorten …who were we kidding … have lost track of all the variants over the years.

Take Care xx

Hello China...what a pretty face you have.
Hi Angie, so glad your aches and pains are a little easier. Cleaning and tidying should be banned esp when you have a bad back :-)

If anyone calls me Shirley, I blanche! It's been Shirl for a long time now, but full name when I write it.

Do be careful with yourself, Angie, and try to see your GP - take a shopping list and work through it as quickly as possible, ask for a double appointment. With a bit more time and some planning, you might cope better. Take a good book for the waiting room too - or an ipod, whatever.

I've only got as far as thinking about a couple of things I could do for the Wk52 challenge, must start as the weeks are flying by.

Love your cat, mine keep 'hitting' you until they get stroked or just sit on top of my craft work if I ignore them!

Glad to hear your knees are better and your back is semi better. That is one big tub of gesso. You must buy it by the trough. Glad to see someone is thinking week 52. And thanks for sharing China. Bleubeard is intrigued.

Ah Angie, be kind to yourself - I've been to the Docs twic and had a home visit in the last 6 weeks because of a bad back (sciatica)..neither one of the three metioned my weight or may age. Mind ou, I've been lokking pretty vulnerable, so perhaps they knew better!!
As for your WOYWWAC, am thrilled you're giving it a go - and I thik going where your hands take you is the perfect way to do it. And as for Julia...yep, me too...every variant. I started using Jay 25 years ago when I got sck of eing called Julie, 2 seconds after telling people my name...aarggh, they don't listen! I'm called Jules quite alot too, but by people who don't really know me I think- I always felt it was the most not-suiting of my name derivatives!!

Gawd Ange - sorry, that was an essay! And mostly I'm sorry for the spelling mistakes, I cannot type as fast as I think, no matter how hard I try!

oooh, big hugs hun, as a back pain sufferer, you have my every sympathy... hot water bottle and feet up on the sofa I reckon :O)) As for the diet malarkey, it is all a load of rubbish, if you are heavy it doesn't make much difference if you have a back injury, I know this cos I only weigh 6 stone and mine is horrendous (actually, that is a fib, I weigh more than that...much much much more actually...but, my Consultant said that the weight made no difference!) Anyways..your little kitty is gorgeous, what a pretty face...AlfieCat is chatterling to the birdies too... and he talks to us - and he knows words like Treat, Food, Bed, Vet etc LOL hugs hunny, you take care xx

I am glad you are feeling a little better hunny ... I am sure that can be very little worse than back pain XXX As for your project ... It is good that you have made a start ... I have no idea what or when I am going to do mine.

The butterfies on my blog will live for a couple of weeks so my little boy will be setting them free in the next couple of days to enjoy their short lives, we really had such fun growing them! Have a wonderful week! Tracey x

Cats do not care if we are tidy or we have accomplished great things--maybe that is why I enjoy them so much.
They are also wonderful scape goats; if there is a mess on the table--one simply says "Oh, the cat must have been up here!"
Hope your back pain eases and you are feeling better.

I am trying to cook up something for week 52 as well...not sure but it will be simple! Angie, it is so nice to to read you have a crafting DD! Hoe nice! I have one that does and one that doesn't, but I haven't given up on her yet!

glad to see other people have chaos around them, I very carefully only photo my desk! Not sure what you thought the chalks were on my pic, I use Copics and Distress Inks for colouring.
I was a nurse and never go to the docs either!!! must be link there somewhere! hugs debx

Bettythebaglady said...

Hiya Angie Thanks for your comment.Sadly cardioversion didn't work so it's back to the drawing board. Like you I avoid the doc due to shame re weight and that's why I collapsed at work (several years ago now). That's when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia which was so bad it's taken eight years to get a semblance of life back. Anyeay he was very good about weight and never hassled me at all. Since then I've lost 2 stone-not enough-using Paul Mckenna's method and not put that back on. Was impressed by your storage the other week so I'm shocked to see another view!LOL and lots of hugs Bettyxxx

I agree with you. When it comes to health and doctors its both a benefit and aweful knowing too much. I am a nurse and hate the fact that I know so much. I hope your are feeling better today!
