Just a few shots to share

A little before sunset this evening, I went out and took some photos of the amazing cloud formation that hung above the houses.Just had to share it ...some of the clouds were so fluffy and low in the sky.... like teased out cotton wool.

This is a smallish bush(not quite 3ft) which we inherited. It has this strange flower before the leaves appear idea what it is ...have you?.

This is a Pieris ...not sure which variety but one of my garden favourites ...I love it at this time of year as the white flowers are still there and the vibrant new red growth is just appearing.

Last but not least ...a huddle of cats ...not happy that they have been woken.
Sid is at the top ...his niece Nahla is in the middle and Smudge at the bottom.

Can you believe that no one wanted him and he was destined for cat heaven until DD said we would give him a home and brought him back in her jacket. He follows her around like a dog and has a little call song. When she sings it he appears from no where. He has a strange expression due to the smudge under his nose ...when he is angry he looks like Hitler but when happy he is more like Charlie Chaplin LOL

Just thought I would share

Take care xx

Angie, What delightful photos! I'm amazed at the clarity of the cloud formations.
Cats are so photogenic, but mine tend to twitch or move just as the shutter clicks.
Thank you for posting such lovely pictures.

The strange flowers look like a willow. We have a weeping willow in our garden with the same flowers. We have just bought a new Pieris plant to replace one of the heebies that died this winter. It's only small yet but I am really looking forward to a mass of the beautiful coloured leaves as it grows. We seemed to loose lots of well established plants this year because it was such a harsh winter.

Angie-what gorgeous cats, definitely deserve the title most strokeable.Clouds are lovely and think I agree with Wipso that the plant looks very willowish. Is it twisted willow or some other. If you google it there are some pics of various varieties of willow. Betty

Oh I love your cat huddle. I sure wish Mickey and Minnie would act like they lived in the same house.
Great photos.

Thanks ladies ....The more I look at my bush the more I think it might be related to a weeping willow. The branches weep downwards but there are no catkins ever and there is no fluffy pussy paws before the 'flower'...must wait until the leaves appear and check them too.

great photos, love the story of Smudge's "mo"...that plant looks like our wattle but not sure if it grows outside of Australia

That photo of your cats is absolutely amazing! Pet pics are so tricky too (mine won't keep still long enough LOL).

I love these piccies Angie. When we see formations like that Devvie and I both agree it's like there could be a whole other kingdom up atop the clouds.

Love the expressions on your cats faces *g*
