Happy 3rd Birthday WOYWW

I am back from my break ….what a great, truely relaxing time I had ….and I had five days of scorching sun….and I burnt my nose ….I will be posting photos etc during the week if anyone would like to see Inverness….not my nose lol.

A big thank you to you that left kind words on the loss of Maddie …it was greatly appreciated …the other cats seem to be adjusting slowly.

I have done another square for my Log Cabin Knitted blanket …as seen above ...each square is about 13" and then you give it a border and mattress stich them together ....I need 9 or 12 depending on the size of blanket ...keeping the tension acurate is my main problem ....I already have two that are too big. lol. It really is for using up ends of yarn but I bought some big balls with varigated colours as I could not wait to save up the required odds and ends.

Sorry I’m not taking part in the ATC swap but I had to join you all on the link list. It is so hard to believe another year has passed and again the numbers have grown. I think it was about 20 of us when JD had the brain wave to start WOYWW …. and  I know she never imagined that it would still be going three years on and that its members would sit at their desks  and computers in all corners of the world …we are not a club or society …we are a family …. A caring family as I well know.

I still  have not been crafting …well does a tiny bit of doodling count? …. but I have been knitting  and have nearly finished my first ‘Fish and Chip’ baby out fit. Follow the link and you can read the story... Twiglet led me there.

I will try to visit as many of you as possible …I wonder how long the link list will be …and I definitely will visit any friends that  drop by my blog

Take Care xx

I've not done an ATC or been creative either so you aren't alone :) It'll all change this week though - I know I say that every week but there is a stirring!

Glad you had a lovely time, bring on the photos, I shall live my homesickness through you :D

Happy 3rd WOYWW birthday.
Love the blanket. Do you have a pattern to work to?

You have still been creating... just a different medium. I love your blanket and might just do one of those when I finish my 3rd crochet one. You'll go in the draw for my ATc and no need to return one if you are picked out for one of mine.
Happy 3rd WOYWW Birthday! Great to be part of this wonderful fun group and get to know people like you!
Love Jo x!

So glad you had a nice break and got some sun. Sorry about the sunburned beezer but vitamin D is alway good to get from the sun. With all the sun screens, we are now Vit.D deficient. Hard to win these days.

Happy 3rd WOYWW!!!
How lovely to hear from you again, Angie - I'm so glad you had a good break. Wasn't Inverness the hottest place in Britain last week??
I'm not swapping ATCs either cos I simply haven't had the time or heart to do it. But I have really enjoyed the warmth and camaraderie that today has brought. I just hope that Julia is getting at least part of it out in Spain!
I'm sorry to hear about Maddie - pets leave a lap shaped gap in your life....

Love the little knitted square, I'm no good at tension either which is why I only knit simple things. Sorry to hear about Maddie, it's hard to let go but it was the right thing to do. Looking forward to the holiday snaps, I always like you out and about posts and you haven't done one in a while!

The link list is shorter now some little gremlin has tidied up all the duplicates :) Hope you had a fab break (and I skipped the swap last year but this year I managed to make a few and out of that one I really like, so I'm in) and best of luck with your knitting. I start something but the recipient (usually a kid) outgrows it before I even finish LOL!

Glad you enjoyed your holiday, and you did hit lucky with the weather too. I like that log cabin square, I could do with a crochet pattern based on the same, a blanket made up of them would look lovely. At the time of writing there's 160 links on the list ... that's an awful lot of desks to visit! I'm sure you will get back to crafting in due course. Hope you have had a good WOYWW and have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #96

Hi Angie, thanks for visiting my desk. The tin is from ASDA by the way, nearly eaten all the biscuits in it already - certainly no good for the waistline! Love your knitted square, looks complicated! BJ #35 in Surrey!

Hi Angie - always good to see you posting and so pleased that you have had a good holiday. I hope it, the rest and the sunshine, helps clear up all the little niggling ills that you have had of late and that you are soon back on top form.
Great knitting by the way, bet it looks good when it is all sewn together - hope we see it.
Have a good Jubilee weekend and a good 3rd Blogaversary. Hugs, Neet #15

Happy 3rd WOYWW! (I'm late as always!) Well done on the blanket, it's going to look fabulous. If you'd like the freebie bear I can send him to you, I would've done already but I get muddled with three Angies! Happy Late woyww!

I have made some ATC's now, I shouldn't have chickened out! (new ones, not the ones I put in the bin!)

Glad you had a nice holiday, Angie, and very sorry indeed to hear about poor little Maddie. It breaks your heart when they die, doesn't it. All the kitties we have had and who are no more, occupy a very special place in our hearts and we never forget them!

I am not joining the ATC swap either - it's been hectic recently and something had to go.

Keep up the good work with the knitting!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, and I'm glad you like my latest zentangle art!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Great looking quilt square. I am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt in the future. I am sorry to hear about Maddie but I am sure she enjoyed a wonderful life while she was on this earth. I am a bit late getting around but couldn't miss the 3rd Anniversary celebration at WOYWW! Have a great week. Vickie

Happy WOYWW 3rd Anniversary Angie!
I thin k you’ve hit the nail right on the head when you said we are a big caring family and it’s amazing that you can make such good friends without every meeting them in person. I’ve also been lucky enough to have meet a few in person too, so I’m counting my blessings.

Hope you have a good week and…….
Happy Crafting!

Happy belated WOYWW 3rd anniversary. Thanks so much for the visit to my desk. I've only been playing along since January--three years of Julia keeping us all connected this way is so impressive. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy WOYWW, and thanks for stopping by.
