I blinked and it was Week 98

Yes I know its Tuesday and I’m as sure it was only yesterday that I was writing my WOYWW post and dropping by the other members of this ever expanding group.I know its not … but ever since this all started nearly two years ago, time has sped up somehow. I know from reading many of your blogs that you feel the same.

Sorry there is no shot of the table but my area is the same as last week …only more messy …as I didn’t need to pack it away. We all ate on out knees for a week lol …and I managed to finish two LO’s and get a little further with my others …..I know I’m a slow coach but the tortoise gets there in the end lol

The First LO of Olly …I know that’s bad but there are a few more on the way

and

One for my Family History

Now. … here is a question …Is scrapping going out of favour?

As I drop by I see loads of cards and altered items, journals and canvases too … but very few LO’s…..is everyone just having a break? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I will again work round as many of you as I can over the next few days ...I do a group at the beginning ...some from the end .... some regular friends ...and everyone who visits me ...managed nearly seventy last week.

Take care xx

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE these LO's!!! You should see my desk...I AM ASHAMED!!!!

It is such a mess that I have nowhere to create!!! BAD ME!!!

I see tons of LO's being done.....I think card making is very popular again and I have been doing tons of altered projects......sometimes I have to walk away from the LO's and alter.....

Wishing you a great week...thank you so much for the love and support that you offer to me!!! Hugs to you across the seas!!!!

Lovely LO - I think not only scrapbooking is out sometimes I think cards are out too! Everybody is altering - I wonder when this frenzy will end - I am sticking to my thing ( cards ) no matter what! Ha, ha...
Lots of hugs,

Yay! Olly! When he was a skinny little baby and before he morphed into the michelin man!
Seriously, next time you visit you'll probably put your back out trying to lift him. He's huuuuge!

These layouts are beautiful. olly looks so cute but I love the archival look of the other one.
Scrap booking is certainly not on it 's way out in my house. I love it and won't stop until I have scrapped all my photo's which of course I will never get round too!
I have completed 6 layouts this week too!
I think the whole TH thing may be getting in the way of traditional scrap booking by leaning towards a lot of altered art - which I also love and cards will always be popular. But traditional scrap booking for me - every time!
Happy WOYWW, and thanks for sharing.

Beautiful layouts! I am seeing more digital layouts being done here in the states. Not because it is cheaper(its not) but because everyone has a digital camera now days. I have never been much of a scrapbook person and just in the last 3 years started cards and altered art. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #28

I love your pages. I don't think scrap booking has gone out of style. I think the Tim Holtz craze has just taken over for a bit. Keep scrapping! Your family will appreciate your creativity. :-)

oh happy WOYWW Angie, no matter what day it is! INk? Yes! printer ink! Agh! I've had my old printer/scanner for years and it's been fine, for 'printing out digi's'. But my new printer, with it's new posh HP ink smudges badly when I use Promakers , but I have found that if the ink isn't too black (I mean the image isn't too black) it's ok, or if you use any cheep old ink in your printer (as I usually do!) that's okay too !
Any way, tons to see on your desk as usual, have a great week end!! I'm arming myself for a week of bad dogs!!

Both are really lovely layouts.
I am a scrapbooker as well, but not quite as much as I used to be. I think I've expanded my horizon and found additional crafts that I love, so scrapbooking is a bit on the backburner, but it's still there.

Wow, your LO are both fabulous! I am not a scrapbooker myself but I do see LO here and there. Not sure if there is a decline though. I think with the internet there is more access to see so many different types of arts and crafts that more people can try lots of different things.
Thanks for visiting me earlier!
xoxo Karen

I am not a scrapper so cannot comment on your question - sorree. However, two gorgeous LO's you have done. I just loved the blue one when I saw it and thought how pretty it was and then rolled down to the next one and fell in love with that. Whether in or out of fashion you keep roducing - they are gorgeous. Hugs, Neet x

Love the layouts - I have done a few layouts recently too but I must admit that during 2010 I only managed about 6 (which included layouts done to be taught at my local crop) but my layout has come back and I seem to be crafting all sorts (cards and tags too!).

Two lovely layouts on your desk this week. I have loads of old family photos, most of them now labelled up so we know who they are, and I have a huge family history file on computer. To print the family tree complete would fill our quite big lawn, but we are lucky enough to know a lot of the more personal information about a large number of them. Thank you for your visit earlier and your kind comment. Like you I take a couple of block of people, all my friends and anyone who visits me, and that takes me all week.

Love your family history LO. I am just going through another phase (painted backgrounds/journals) but always come back to scrapbooking and card making. Actually i Love it all and wish I had more time. How quickly does woyww come around??

Hi Angie, I've taken a week of WOYWW so that I could concentrate on visiting my followers - I really do find it difficult to keep up. Love the layout of Olly - simply gorgeous. I've managed to fit in one small layout of my grandson recently but I must admit cardmaking has taken precedence for far too long. However, we now have the 1911 census online so my interest in family history has once again been revived and with it the need to put together some scrapbook pages for the heritage album. You will see my message on your heritage page. Have a great week. Elizabeth x

Love your LO's! I scrapped this week for the first time in ages and actually forgot how much I love it. I don't think its going out of favour, I think most creative people have very short attention spans, there is always something new and exciting to do and learn, but scrapping leaves a lasting legavy, so it will never really die out.

Lovely l/os and love those papers in the family one. Like the way you used your punch for the mounts.

Thanks for your visit. I do see alot of layouts on my blog travels, but just think projects go round about, they certainly do on my desk. Got some layouts to post up so maybe you will see some on my bloggie! :-)

Gorgeous LOs - No never done any myself. I just work almost entirely in fabric. Like Wipso - have loads of photos that would look good scrapbooked. Might have a go one day. Oh and no - the shoes were on the bride's sister - not me - I wish!!!

Hi Angie, love your pages and especially the border punches.

I've never been a scrapbooker so I'm not sure about the popularity thing. Although I did make my first ever LO last week!

I think journals are something more and more people are getting into though.

Oh and my promarkers with the tape on the end - I just bought a pack of white stickers from WH Smith and coloured one for each pen then stuck it on the end. It makes life a lot easier!

i love the layouts, both for different reasons. I think scrapbooking is never out of date but i know we dont see many layouts on the tables.
I'm still working on my christmas journal, my new nephews first photos and my mums heritage photos so definately more layouts to come on my desk, lol. Albeit that the desk is about to move to Stirling as opposed to Turkey - ha! If i can persuade the airline to let me bring some of my stash anyway.
thanks for popping by earlier

Ohhhh I love the clock on that second one.

I was always a sketcher and painter before anything else. I grew up with pencil and sketchbook in one hand and reading book in the other.

I got a knock at school when my art teacher kind of hinted I wasn't good enough for art college and then I stopped completely when I was 19 and got into a bad relationship where he quashed anything like that. It was only when I hit 30 and saw the scrapbook mags on the TV that started me scrapbooking which of course has finally led me back to drawing again over the last year or so. I will always be grateful for scrapbooking for reawakening that part of me and for... I dunno - giving it back to me if that makes sense?

I always struggled with scrapbooking as I struggle to journal my thoughts and feelings openly. Those are my own personal reasons for it kind of dropping away - Craig wants me to start doing it more - he says he misses my pages so maybe I'll try again.

Thank you for your amazing words over at mine Angie - they meant so much to me :)

Hi Angie, your layouts are beautiful. I've never got really into scrapbooking myself but I'm sure there are loads of challenge blogs out there. There seem to be challenges for everything these days (I'm glad to say!)

Thanks for your visit to my blog. I like your advice of having lots of hot toddies to forget ailments!!

Happy Easter to you xx

Your LOs are gorgeous. I can't imagine ANY person who loves scrapbooking would allow it to go out of favor. Although I don't make scrapbooks or cards, I still appreciate those who do.

And thanks for stopping by last week to wish me a happy birthday. How sweet of you.
