wk 28 ....OMG IIWA

PLEEEEEZE would someone stop speeding up time ....I feel I am so behind and the more I think about it, the less I seem to get done.

Well lets talk about WOYWW .... for me .... nothing again .... wrapping paraphernalia and card bits cover the table downstairs................ and the craft room shows no sign of any mojo... in fact I have packed things away and have decided to buy my special cards this year as ... without mojo I cannot make anything that pleases me. I think Mojo has definitely gone away for Xmas ... if its come to stay with you ... could you send it back in the New Year.....wont need it til then.

I did, however, have a great day yesterday though ..... at The German Market in Edinburgh.

It is a wonderland for kids and adults alike and the food is fantastic ....as are the hot boozy drinks. I had a warm Scottish mead with apple juice and a tot of whiskey. I could have eaten and drunk my way round all the stalls but I was sensible ....for once ....but took a big bag of German sausages home ...lol. What I did eat was fantastic and I topped it off with a waffle covered in cherries, melted nutella and whipped cream ......OMG......heaven
This was a treat day out from DD and Vicki so I didn't have to open my purse once ... which made it even better.

We ended up taking two of Vicki's nephews with us too and they were so good. Vicki took them on the 'Teacups' and a small Helter Skelter and they giggled with happiness through it all.... as did Vicki lol

Everything we ate ...they tried ...and enjoyed. Stall holders gave them lollies, biscuits and chocolate to try too and they smiled all the time they were with us ....how great it is to experience Christmas through the eyes of children. The darkness made all the lights so magical ...for all of us and we didn't even notice the light rain ...except when we needed to sit on a bench lol but the boys managed to find somewhere that had a puddle so they could splash about.

Hope you got the feel of our time at the Market .... sorry about the lack of crafting and the photo over load ....I spared you the rest of them ....honest ... lol.

Take care xx

I am a great believer that Christmas should be a time of fun and laughter and I really love the photos. Thanks for sharing them...it certainly looked like you had a great time.

Looks like you had a fab time at the market, I love Edinburgh but haven't been there for ages, I did say to my OH a couple of weeks ago that when we visit my dad next easter in Glasgow I would like to drive over to Edinburgh for an overnight stay; never know may even be able to leave the kids in glasgow! Hugs Pam

The market looks fun Angie, I’ve just been to the real thing in Germany and have to agree ……those boozy drinks really help to keep out the cold.

Shame about your Mojo Angie. Maybe when you've relaxed and had a lovely Christmas and taken loads of photos, it will return to help you scrap them!
The market looks like a fun day out for everyone. I wish they had a similar event down here!

sounds like you had a fabulous time - my Dad and brother were there on Saturday (no they don't live in Edinburgh but were visiting friends).

What a fun day out! The waffle sounds delicious--a Belgian waffle maker is on my wish list. We pour on the maple syrup as a sweetener but I like fruit with them as well.
I think you and I both long to finish more of our favorite crafts--the spirit of doing is there, but the energy is often lacking.
The finished layouts with the family info which you post on your other blog are always exquisite, so I hope you experience the return of "mojo" when the holidays are past.

Nice to see your photos of your time out at the market. The lights really did make it look Christmassy. I do still miss Christmas in the parts of the world where it is cold, dark and winter. Having Christmas in summer, as we do here, is just not the same. We did have a very cold day Tuesday though, and there was some snow on the mountains, so..., we might get a white Christmas yet in New Zealand!

Happy Christmas to you!

I had to come back to say that I hope your cats are not having a seige of sickness--It is so worrying to have pets be ill---and they can't tell us how they feel. I can imagine that you are hovering over them all--and I hope all will be well soon.

I love seeing Christmas through the eyes of children. I've been a little sad this year as I know for a fact Devvie definitely doesn't believe in Mr Christmas anymore and I suspect Phoebe has only been humouring me this year... not even that much. No letter to Santa and no visit :( I can't wait for next year when Ruby will be a little more knowing of what's happening.

That market looks and sounds amazing. I can almost tatse the waffles. YUM!

I should be grateful then really as Phoebe turned 9 this year. I hope they wont spoil it for Ruby though I think they are enjoying seeing her wonder at it all at the moment.

My time keeps vanishing too. Great photos, I have to say Edinburgh is one of my favourite places in the world (my hen night was going on 3 of the ghost tours on the Royal Mile)
