WOYWW …..A New Year Begins

My area is a muddle and I should I say that my mind is too…not sure what I want to do next …creatively speaking.

I feel I should create some LO’s … or maybe play with tags or the like …but after my brush with being arty, I quite fancy a canvas …or maybe that journal thingy I have wanted to do for ages … as a record of the different Zentangle patterns I use within a piece….basically … I am in a quandary

Anyway …here is my WOYWW table …..

I have put some components out including a bowl of beads … I actually came across a whole forgotten box of them going back 9 years ago to when I dabbled with jewellery. I have a glimmer of an idea so I left a few out to prompt me while I muse over it all. I do hope I am not still musing this time next week lol.

The eagle eyed of you may have spotted a Take Away menu amongst the bits I still have not put away since the challenge of last week …maybe… in my subconscious …I feel that IF I get stuck in, I might not fancy frequenting the kitchen except to make myself coffee …I have no other excuse for it being there …really I haven’t … lol.

I have recently created three Zentangles …the last is in silver, which I love … but it is hard to get a good shot.

This is my favourite detail and I may recreate it in black and white …sort of Art Deco.

What great fun it was last week …can’t believe I got round everyone of the WOYWW crowd in three days...I love reading the post and adding a comment…how many of us were there??? ... (I think there were 2 that would not let me post)…what wonderful creations and busy desks…much food for thought and inspiration. Maybe we could do another challenge before the 2nd Birthday ... for Xmas maybe??

Thank you again Paula for my prize …looking forward to hearing the plop onto the mat.

Take Care xx

Love those zentangles Angie, why don't you create a zentangle canvas...2 birds one stone etc.

In fact now you have mentioned xmas, I challenge you to create a zentangle canvas with christmas/winter themed sections/patterns. just think, it will be one present done ready.

Just make sure you give it to somebody who doesn't read your blog, that way we don't have to wait till xmas to see it lol

I love your zentangles Angie, especially the art deco detail in silver - very creative. I think a zentangle canvas is a great idea - with beads perhaps?
Or am I reading your mind and you're musing about that already?

Wow, zentangles are so hard for me. My fingers cramp when I just think about them. You have some really gorgeous ones. That silver one is totally over the top.

When I first saw your beads, I thought they were beans or some local snack. Glad to see I was wrong. Hope I'll be able to see what you make with them. I'm clueless when it comes to beads and bead projects.

Hi Angie, your Zentangles are wonderful and I do love the art deco bit. It can be difficult sometimes deciding what to do, but Darcy's idea is a good one. I shouldn't be giving advice as I've been dithering over making my first art quilt and keep veering between trying to decide on a theme or just go for colour :-/ but sometimes it's best to just jump in ;-)I know whatever you do it will be wonderful! I think a silver Zentangle would look good on a dark blue background :-)

I am always amazed by the artful things you create--the terminology of your craft escapes me, but the bits and pieces are fascinating. [In my house I'm sure the cats would carry off such sparkly bits!]
It is frustrating that so many of the things we like to do [crafting, gardening, sewing, the computer] are NOT good for ailing backs! My "things I want to do" list is so much longer than the "Things I have finished" list!

Well, I spotted glossy accents, distress ink and Paper Artsy, all of which I love to bits - but - those incredible pieces of art (zentangle) to me, are out of this world. Simply wonderful.

I can't wait until you get stuck into a canvas ... I just know it will be fabulous ... that silver Zentangle really is a stunner ... I am a sucker for Art Deco and it is right up my alley ... metaphorically speaking!

I love the idea of another challenge for Christmas. Now the doodling is wonderful or Zentangle (what's one of those?) anyway I think they are great and flow wonderfully keep them up. I think you should go with the instict of the arty stuff and why not continue with the LOs (I love them BTW all that history!)

Love Dawn xx

Angie you are the zentangler par excellence. Did you see the pic I put on my blog a couple of weeks ago when we went to Affleck's Palace i Manchester. I thought of you and the zentangles when I saw the entrance sign. Reckon that place would be just up your street. I find it hard to focus too and spend too much time blogging and not enough doing. Hi Angie-walls are yellow and I am having a pale blue blind with white polka dots. Only thing is I haven't got fab storage so it probably won't look much different! At least it will be a cheery room to work in.

My most humble apologies for leaving you out when I counted those who left comments to everyone. Looks like you and I hit all the same places. To make up for missing you in the count, I am making you my blog of the day tomorrow. After all, you are a real joy to read. You take the most amazing photos, even if you do prefer "point and shoot." So, tomorrow (well, today in your world: June 10) is your day. Thanks for such interesting photos of your world.

Hi Angie - I am slowly but surely getting round desks...

I love your zentangling and the silver one with the rose in the middle is so stunning - it would be a shame not to do anything with them... I wouldn't be able to produce anything like that...

I know what you mean about being in a quandry... there is so much inspiration out there and you want to try this and that and the other... sometimes it requires new products... some we can use what we have... I like Darcy's suggestion of making a zentangle canvas... it would look great to display your hard work...

Hopefully you will have is sussed before wednesday... - why don't you make a list of the pros and cons of all the things you fancy doing...

You will defo be hearing the plop of the card... i'm going to go onto Royal mail and print off a tariff and pay online - that way i might get it sent off in light of me not being able to get to the post office.

Big hugs

Wow, those zentangles are fantastic. I love the silver one, it looks like lace and the rose is terrific. I think a zentangle canvas is a great idea too. When I first saw the bowl I though it was some sweets, disappointed to find they were beads, lol.

Hiya Angie - So hard sometimes trying to decide what to do. I'd have a lie down followed by a nice cup of coffee first, maybe a stroll if the weathers good! Love the new zentangles, the last picture is definitely a bit Mackintosh like isn't it? Have a great weekend.
