Week 46…6 wks away from WOYWW’s 1st Birthday

My desk is sort of tidy and boring and there is nothing to nose around …in fact most of my bits have been moved on to the floor, as DD wants to create. Well she is actually having ‘mojo’ problems, so wants to be ready if inspiration strikes when she gets in from work.. …a thought has just struck me ….. should have snapped a shot of the floor lol …

I have been doodling …ie Zentangling … still not 100% sure which I do. Thought I would try white on black and have a play …DD lent me a pen she thought might work for me as I didn’t have the ones suggested by 'flutterbycrafter'... DD also lent me a silver and three pastels …I have warned her she may not get them back and even if she does, they wont have much ink left lol

Sorry for this poor photo …I took so many and they are all a little out of focus …maybe I had it on the wrong setting …I tend to keep it on ‘simple mode ‘ … great for us ‘complex settings’ challenged beings but someone may have changed it …not that I am pointing a finger at anyone lol

The 6x6 is mainly white with touches of silver …then I created a white and then a silver tag …not sure why it looks like tarnished silver in the photo but then, as I have said, its not a very good photo and finally I played with all three pastel pens, on an odd piece of card.

It was fun but I am not sure how much I like white on black or using black card with any of the pens …. next time its back to white card I think …and I have a germ of an idea for a Zentangle Art Journal so watch this space …. it might appear anytime.

Great challenge idea JD...hope everyone plays along …will have to put my thinking cap on …this might delay my Art Journal …these old and worn grey cells of mine fine it hard to concentrate on more than one thing.

Take Care xx

Oh I cannot do more than one thing at a time Angie, one of my biggest craft problems! LOVE your zentangling. Totally unsure of the difference between that and doodling, and I love the white on black and black on white more than the colours, somehow more impact for me.

These are stunning Angie - and so unique - you couldn't copy or replicate if you tried - very effective on the black background too.

these are fabulous! Someone I knew years ago would draw a pic in ink, say of an owl, and then, when you got close, it would be full with tiny little images of anything really, but from a distance looked like feathers, really clever.

I've made a total of ONE of those zentangle doodles in my life. I am not a doodler, but sure appreciate anyone who is. These are such lovely designs, too.

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog today. Have a happy rest of WOYWW.

Lovely Zentangling - I admire other people's but I really don't think I could be bothered.
Thank you for your coment on my blog. The TV is just there because it's the only place with a half-decent reception. My DH watches the sport while he's cooking.
I have just found your genealogy blog. Gorgeous - will spend some more time there when I have an hour, but I couldn' find how to 'follow' it

Angie How can you be an OAP you look so fresh and beautiful-a bit like a much better looking Jilly Cooper.Did we all want to sing when young and write a book? Blogging is certainly helping me with the writing ambitions. Now I'm just going to have to investigate zentangling as your samples look so lovely. I'm sure I can't achieve it. Don't throw yours in the bin- if you don't like them send them to me they remind me of a couple of stamps I've got Miaow Purr purr Hugs BettyXXX

Wow! That looks really amazing!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you want to see some of those projects a bit more in detail check out the video I posted today!

I've just joined in...fascinated that you doodle as I do too! It is so relaxing, isn't it?

I hope I can be forgiven for having a tidy desk - in truth, I cannot work in a muddle for long, only during a project, then I tidy each day, ready or the next!

Looking forward to your art journal.

Hi Angie-about the overseas taxes, yes I have been caught out too. Did you know there is a limited though - not sure what it is but if it is under about $20 you should be ok. I know sometimes to take advantage of the P+P it is easier to make the order larger, but that's when I have been caught out with the taxes.

Hey Angie
Thanks for the card love! I got those large sponge daubers from the craft store, they were with the small finger daubers. I don't use it a great deal but it's useful to cover large areas quite quickly.

Wow you did those doodles yourself? It looks just like some patterned paper I just got in my Studio Calico kit!
I'm in Jamaica. I intentionally don't include where I am on my blog because I don't want anyone here to find me. I'm kind of a closet scrapper.
But if you read the blog itself I drop it in there from time to time, and also it comes up in my actual layouts.

Angie, you must be patient, all that zentangling, oh it takes me all week to get round the WOYWW er's, and then I don't always manage it.
