My desk is sort of tidy and boring and there is nothing to nose around …in fact most of my bits have been moved on to the floor, as DD wants to create. Well she is actually having ‘mojo’ problems, so wants to be ready if inspiration strikes when she gets in from work.. …a thought has just struck me ….. should have snapped a shot of the floor lol …
I have been doodling …ie Zentangling … still not 100% sure which I do. Thought I would try white on black and have a play …DD lent me a pen she thought might work for me as I didn’t have the ones suggested by 'flutterbycrafter'... DD also lent me a silver and three pastels …I have warned her she may not get them back and even if she does, they wont have much ink left lol
Sorry for this poor photo …I took so many and they are all a little out of focus …maybe I had it on the wrong setting …I tend to keep it on ‘simple mode ‘ … great for us ‘complex settings’ challenged beings but someone may have changed it …not that I am pointing a finger at anyone lol
The 6x6 is mainly white with touches of silver …then I created a white and then a silver tag …not sure why it looks like tarnished silver in the photo but then, as I have said, its not a very good photo and finally I played with all three pastel pens, on an odd piece of card.
It was fun but I am not sure how much I like white on black or using black card with any of the pens …. next time its back to white card I think …and I have a germ of an idea for a Zentangle Art Journal so watch this space …. it might appear anytime.
Great challenge idea JD...hope everyone plays along …will have to put my thinking cap on …this might delay my Art Journal …these old and worn grey cells of mine fine it hard to concentrate on more than one thing.
Take Care xx

These are wonderful!!! I love the effect of the white doodling on the black CS. and each one is so different, I'm sure I would start repeating doodles.
re; the comment on my blog; I love your honesty thank you :)
wow! amazing...must look up this zentdoodling and learn how to do it and spell it!
hugs mandyxx
Oh I cannot do more than one thing at a time Angie, one of my biggest craft problems! LOVE your zentangling. Totally unsure of the difference between that and doodling, and I love the white on black and black on white more than the colours, somehow more impact for me.
Hiya
Beautiful works! they are lovely

Wow...know you have to teach me how to do this!!! Is it a site where you are participating?
I just love all of these...they are stunning...I so want to try it out!!!
Have a great week sweet friend!!!
These are stunning Angie - and so unique - you couldn't copy or replicate if you tried - very effective on the black background too.

Really pretty, great lacy effect.
I love your Zen doodle wotsit things ... a lot! I am camera challenged too ... I got a new one for Chrimbo and it hurts my brain to switch it on :0)
OK, will have to look up Zentangling. Great effect but haven't the foggiest what it is. I do love to Google though so thanks for the new direction.
What a flash word! Whoever thought that one up?
What ever they are, yours are amazing!

I absolutely love your Zentangles Angie :) From what I've read they are Zentangles I think.

Zentangle looks great not sure I have the patience and certainly don't have the skills! Hugs Pam x
Oooh Angie, you are a natural at these Zentangles!! Have you seen there are peeps that do them postcard size and then send them to each other? They have to be mailed for some reason...
your Zentangles are FAB, FAB, FAB.
So, you think you;ll sneak into mine to "borrow" some stamps while I'm asleep, huh?? Good luck with that.... thanks for visiting.
Doodle-licious doodles :)
Angie your doodles are so beautiful, I love them and wish I could doodle like that! Thanks for the heads up on the insects, I think I would have to draw a line before we get to stick insects! Have a great week. Tracey x
Amazing Angie, I wouldn't even know where to begin!

Your Zentangling is gorgeous, love them.
Fantastic doodling, you've got talent! ikki
Beautiful, beautiful doodling. It looks like lace. You definitely have a flair for it.
Love your zentangling - soo creative and beautiful!! Thank you for your advice on the bookmarks! I will make it a project for my student helpers so we will all be doing zentangling! Still most of the job will be mine!

Amazing, they are all gorgeous!!xxx
Fabbie zentangling ... I had a go the other day and I was rubbish

They are soo funky! I love that you've not just used white pens.
these are fabulous! Someone I knew years ago would draw a pic in ink, say of an owl, and then, when you got close, it would be full with tiny little images of anything really, but from a distance looked like feathers, really clever.

I've made a total of ONE of those zentangle doodles in my life. I am not a doodler, but sure appreciate anyone who is. These are such lovely designs, too.
Thanks for your kind comment on my blog today. Have a happy rest of WOYWW.
The doodles are very cool!
lovely doodling ;-)
thanks for visiting my workdesk
Regards, Cathy
Lovely Zentangling - I admire other people's but I really don't think I could be bothered.
Thank you for your coment on my blog. The TV is just there because it's the only place with a half-decent reception. My DH watches the sport while he's cooking.
I have just found your genealogy blog. Gorgeous - will spend some more time there when I have an hour, but I couldn' find how to 'follow' it
Absolutely love those zentangles, fantastic work.
I bet you get lost in thought as you doodle away. They are little gems!
Angie How can you be an OAP you look so fresh and beautiful-a bit like a much better looking Jilly Cooper.Did we all want to sing when young and write a book? Blogging is certainly helping me with the writing ambitions. Now I'm just going to have to investigate zentangling as your samples look so lovely. I'm sure I can't achieve it. Don't throw yours in the bin- if you don't like them send them to me they remind me of a couple of stamps I've got Miaow Purr purr Hugs BettyXXX
Wow! That looks really amazing!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you want to see some of those projects a bit more in detail check out the video I posted today!
I've just joined in...fascinated that you doodle as I do too! It is so relaxing, isn't it?
I hope I can be forgiven for having a tidy desk - in truth, I cannot work in a muddle for long, only during a project, then I tidy each day, ready or the next!
Looking forward to your art journal.
Fabulous Angie! They look like lace!
Hi Angie-about the overseas taxes, yes I have been caught out too. Did you know there is a limited though - not sure what it is but if it is under about $20 you should be ok. I know sometimes to take advantage of the P+P it is easier to make the order larger, but that's when I have been caught out with the taxes.

Hey Angie
Thanks for the card love! I got those large sponge daubers from the craft store, they were with the small finger daubers. I don't use it a great deal but it's useful to cover large areas quite quickly.
Hugs
Brenda
Wow you did those doodles yourself? It looks just like some patterned paper I just got in my Studio Calico kit!
I'm in Jamaica. I intentionally don't include where I am on my blog because I don't want anyone here to find me. I'm kind of a closet scrapper.
But if you read the blog itself I drop it in there from time to time, and also it comes up in my actual layouts.
Angie, you must be patient, all that zentangling, oh it takes me all week to get round the WOYWW er's, and then I don't always manage it.
Wow these look fabulous thanks for sharing.
Hugs Paula xxxx

Laughter Angie, laughter. That's what keeps us young! *Ü* LOL. Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog. I LOVE those zentangles. You are quite the doodler. Check out my top that I wore to Ally Pally (on my blog). It looked like doodlings all over it. TFS. ~Glen~
Absolutely scrummy Angie. You have gotten soooo good at these. :D Fingers crossed for your book. Gez.xx
I think those are fabulous. I keep wanting to try that, but have way too many projects currently going on.
