Most ingredients are measured by fractions of cups [3/4-1/2 etc] and liquid measures also by cup amounts or sometimes by liquid ounces. Flour is measured into a cup and lightly leveled. Some recipes specify sifted or unsifted--I usually sift so that paking powder or bicarb of soda, spices, are evenly distributed.<br />Your lovely finished loaf looks like my basic pound cake--perhaps I could simply use the lime and coconut with that and have a similar product. Recipes are a bit like quilt patterns--usually a variation on a common theme!Morning's Minionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01912356455981434029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6674179080495922064.post-61167263541460070922013-02-22T18:51:41.538+00:002013-02-22T18:51:41.538+00:00This sounds like a lovely tea loaf--I wish I could...This sounds like a lovely tea loaf--I wish I could convert British measurements to something I could recognize in US format!Morning's Minionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01912356455981434029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6674179080495922064.post-22925720784704057832013-02-21T19:39:23.463+00:002013-02-21T19:39:23.463+00:00It looks yummy Angie! xxIt looks yummy Angie! xxAlisonhttp://craftytrog.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6674179080495922064.post-22837531457235995482013-02-21T13:59:50.351+00:002013-02-21T13:59:50.351+00:00Angie, I may have to try this.
